can't you simply copy and paste the putty output? I use windows terminal with telnet and i copy the text and i paste it in a text editor....
Yes, it sounds more simple.
But I was able to understand how create the text file from Putty.
The only way seems activating the log feature. Doing so, every command/response in the Putty window is saved in a text file.
Not so straightforward. Making such copy/paste is simpler.

Hello, I'm here again.
After many tests, I'm stuck at the final step: playing the audio.
I'm continuing to test at 9E, 11727V, 30000. After reading the station list successfully, I created my own bouquet and copied it into the box.
It seems all ok, I see the main transponder (not needed here), and my bouquet with all DAB channels in it. But when I select one station and press OK key…. nothing happens. No sound.
These are my files.
First of all, lamedb.

Code:
eDVB services /4/
transponders
005a0000:c35a:009e
s 11727000:30000000:1:3:90:2:0:1:2:0:2
/
end
services

p:Eutelsat,c:031fff,c:151b77,f:8
035d:005a0000:c35a:009e:12:0:0
DAB Radio Italian 2
p:Eutelsat,c:031fff,c:151bdb,f:8
end

Please note that this is the entire file. I set only one transponder for testing and to avoid any possible unexpected issue.
And this is my userbouquet file.

And I obviously linked this file in the bouquet.tv

Code:
#NAME User - Bouquets (TV)
#SERVICE 1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:FROM BOUQUET "userbouquet.favourites.tv" ORDER BY bouquet
#SERVICE 1:7:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:FROM BOUQUET "userbouquet.eurodab_1__9e__it_.tv" ORDER BY bouquet

Please note that, after selecting one station, although I hear nothing the receiver seems perfectly tuned to the right transponder, in fact I'm able to read the station list via telnet.
Thinking to a possible dabstreamer issue, but I don't know what to check. What do you think? Thanks.

View attachment 158155View attachment 158156

Looking at your image I sent this command:

Code:
python /etc/rc3.d/S50dabstreamer start

and I get the following reply:

Code:
pidfile /var/run/dabstreamer.pid already exist. Daemon already running?

What it means? Maybe that dabstreamer is running?
If so, could you please help me to understand the problem? Thanks.

Why are you entering the command when you should have checked whether it is starting at booting?

Sorry but I'm a little bit weak in this topic.
How can I check if it does start at booting?

command ps or ps -aux after booting (of course you can also monitor logs, but this is probably easier)

I don't see dabstreamer, but I'm not able to understand this result.
What do you think? Thanks.

Oh sorry I saw that! Does it mean it is running?
If so, what must I check to identify the problem?
Also, today I got a backup including some perfectly working DAB bouquets, but it is password-protected so I can't look in it to discover possible differences with my image.
Do you know how to reset the password?
Sorry for my off topic.

yes, dabstreamer start with boot
next step, switch to some DAB channel and watch the ps -aux output again to see if any subroutine from eti-tools has been started (e.g tsniv2ni)

Update: BBC radios at 28.2E perfectly work. But in the other 3 mux on the same frequency only few stations work, most do not.
None of the radios in the 5 mux at 9 East.
Considering that I have sound from the BBC, it is not dabstreamer fault.
Really not able to address the issue.

It seems you can't play DAB+ radios (AAC960 codec).
I've had the same problem in my SF8008 and i found a solution : HERE

Let me know if this helps

@cirio70, you are a great guy!!
Yes, finally solved! Just installed serviceapp and modified my bouquet as you suggested, and finally I got the sound.
I did not understand why the BBC was ok, but did not thought that they use still mp2. Now it's clear.
Another question please: in the bouquet file, what about the first 10 fields in each station string?
The first is the player (now I use 5002 instead of 4097), the third is service type (2 for radio), all other values was 0 in my file but you used 1 in the 4th field and 5 in the 6th. What it means? Thanks.

A little explanation by @Adam792 in another thread:

DAB+ encoding uses a slightly different encoding method with AAC where (I think) the number of audio samples per frame in within the audio stream are different to usual (it's referred to as AAC960). This requires the AAC decoder in the device/computer to take this into account, otherwise the audio plays as if it's been slowed down - with the 100-metre-deep cavern effect you are describing. :D

Yes I understood that. But what about the numeric fields in the bouquet file?
For exaple, I noted that the BBC streams work only using 4097:0:2:0:0:0, and SDL streams work using 5002:0:2:1:0:5. 4097 and 5002 selects the player, but what about the other numbers? Thanks.

The most important digit is the second: "2" means "radio service".
3rd: TS ID
4th: Transponder ID
5th: Network ID
6th: Namespace
but i think they are not used in streaming bouquet.

For example: if you try SDL stream using 5002:0:2:0:0:0 it should work
