I have just checked and I have seen no difference in any of my signal quality in frankfurt. i think king of sat though is telling us that there will be a hefty migration to the new bird ....at least that question is answered

personally I can't see any difference in strengh - neither stronger nor weaker - on any channel yet, also no glitch I was aware of (short disappearance of signal) on any channel. So I doubt it has happened (yet).

I feel a bit like the News24 guy reporting that nothing has happened...

But no noticable change in Denmark either. CH4 HD is full strength but low quality - corresponding very well with my skew-misalignment on EB1.
Eveything else is as it used to be.

Let's see tomorrow morning...

Lets hope its just the same contributer to all three sites.

But then again the question to the experts with knowledge about the capacity of 1N: IF (Big IF) 1N initially has to take over the (10?) frequencies of 2D and probably some of 2A and/or 2B - what remains of "additional narrow band capacity" (if any) in the frequencies outside the EB1 range?

As far as I can see SES have not made any official comments about the Astra 2D frequencies being switched over to 1N. (Yet)

For me nothing has changed. It 'really strange that 1N exactly replicates 2D signals
(e.g. 10906 is the trasponder with the lower signal, no lockable at this hour)
In my opinion, no satellite switch has been yet.

What's all the fuss about fellows.
Has something happened?
Everything here is as you were no change at all, so far, receiving my channels no problems at all.
BBC 2 England on at the moment, using my famaval dish.

those sites do not exactly enhance their credibility by just copying each other... seems none of them actually switched on a box and checked themselves.

Is it true that a 5 metre dish (due to its narrow beamwidth) can only see Astra 2D, BUT NOT: 1N, 2A, 2B ??? If so,you will know the switch to 1N had happened when you lose your Astra 2D tv reception. Am I right? :)

No. Anyone with a real-time spectrum will be able to see the current signals are coming from a spinner.

now the NIT says 11.127V SR 22.000 FEC 2/3 in DVB-S2 QPSK .

I slowly feel being fooled because that makes no sense at all.

For 3h now we're running crazyscan on loop and auto export using a Technotrend S2-1600 connected to a 5m dish.
Nothing's changed at all.
We're receiving Astra 2D Horizontals and some Verticals appear on daytime.
We send and 2 screenshot real now

No. Those satellites are always within 0.15º of centreline so worst case scenario on a 5m dish would be 2dB down (equivalent a 4m dish pointed directly at the satellite).

It's still Astra 2d. Why do those sites have wrong information?

One of them started to spread wrong information and the other ones are copying over data. Simple as that!
I'd also doubt that 1N and 2D behave so exactly identical that nothing has changed at all! My signal strength and quality readings haven't changed at all either!

Yes it's true. Certainly will be happening if not done so already.

and that remains the $64,000 question...

no signal or transponder changes here this morning, everything is working as usual... including the BBC's daft children's morning programmes :D
