A Friend receives in Austria ( farer away from the Beam as you ) Astra 2d with 2,3 m Solid Dish! (horizontal nearly everything and vertical with tropouts at 21.00 cet. )

Where about in Austria is this 2.3m located ? I'm wondering that the H's are stronger than the V's. All the reports i'm aware of report the opposite.

Oh, you mean satdx (moderator at _http://www.satclub-thueringen.de) from St. Pölten. The equipment he is using is of very high efficiency and expensive.

P.S.: As a user of a high gain Andrew 4.5m it would help many people to see (in another thread of course) what you can (not) receive from certain difficult satellite positions/beams.

Anyone here got D2 in Gothenburg Sweden? I have 1.10 cm dish, sat S-2008 SE HD LNB and no signal, im always getting Eurobird1 when im trying to find D2!

LNB:Invacom C120 Univ. Twin / Gibertini Horn Feed
Receiver : PACE 810XE (signal indicates approx 75%)
Terratec DVB S2 card / Dvbviewer indicates : Quality 98 % in good weather

I can receive all 2D channels on my Terratec card
(My Pace box can't be set for all transponders , but i can receive BBC HD etc. with nice result)

Latitude: 62.502061 (62° 30' 7.42'' N)
Longitude: 6.703430 (6° 42' 12.35'' O)

just found out that bbc 1 bbc 2 and five is now in the clear on this satellite.
amyone have any information on this.
here is what i have.

freq.11.495 v in mprg 4/dvb-s2
SR 39.777 and artical says that this mpeg4 can not be received with a commerical receiver because if high symbol rate.

1.2 m dish nothern italy 1.8 meter our area in naples.
this is free to air.

any information will be helpfull.

are you sure this is correct???

according to king of sats Five is encrypted on 11665 and there is no BBC.

if five is encrypted but not part of a pay package on this satelitte then who is watching this channel?????

Lyngsat show it as being available. My receiver, though, isn't capable to testing it.

yes 11.665 v is the five feed using the power view
11495 v is bbc 1 bbc 2 cbbc and a few others.

thats all i know for now

you will beneeding something like this _http://www.scopus.net/pdf/products/IRD-2900.pdf ,, + the correct Biss keys in operation to be abel to receive those signals from the BBC tranponder in 27.5º, mind you these units cost a few 1000 of $...regards

hello.
the bbc on 27.5 west is in the clear using mpeg4 wile
the five bouquet is using the power view encryption system.
so a free to air mpeg 4 receiver for high deff agould work.
looking at lyngsat as well as others this has been running since 20 april 2009.
still doing more research on this

using not any mpeg4 decoder could open those channles,just look at how high is the Symbol rate ,also they are indeed encrypted with BISS
