@solly,
I don't think this is uk spot, rather pan-european.It would be a miracle that with 1.1 m dish to get "insular" signal.I don't know what to say,but so far no one on this topic could not say which spot is used for transponders found.
I did another tests and this time entered another three freq.on both polarities.

May have to have a play around tomorrow and bypass the trees, with a relatively small dish (1m) and have a go on crazyscan.
Stand around with a horizon meter which probably wont help as there's nothing to lock on to, but the trusty strength meter will hehe.

Sorry, the forum wouldn't allow me to up any pics.
I was even more devastated as didn't hit the button on the cam quickly enough as there was some big ass dish on the Bond film.

What we don't know during these tests is the actual location of the spotbeam footprint as one would assume it be somewhat skewed from what it is modelled for (ie 28.2E). Although this testing will give an idea of coverage and field strength for the PE beam, it may be that until she's at 28.2E we find out for real the spotbeam overspill in to Europe.

Notice the relative strength of 12402V and 12460H that I only see here, at aceb and at gonzobaby. Perhaps each of the three pairs represents a beam.
Since all testing is in this 12100...12500 range so far, there might be a very restriced power for other ranges.

Edit: apologies for the swap between H and V, the TBS6925 is on the loopthrough and had to switch manually. So the red line is H.

a little speculation from my side this morning:

_http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/435eukandpanzymqk2xdei.png
but the lower peaks could only be reduced power signals too

The signals on 12401V & 12460H are very weak in Kiev,so I think they are in UK-spot beam

gonzobaby, I think the low peaks on the same frequency are cross polarization. Yesterday I tried to minimize these, had to turn the LNB quite a bit in the holder, compared to the adjustment initially on best Turksat 2A east beam reception.
Must say, your spectrum (about 450 km east from here) is already very different!

you could be right hdvh, it was only an idea when i saw this spectrum pic, nothing facts indeed.

i was wondering why the signals are so strong this morning (over -25 dBm)... in the near future we will know more

Yes gonzobaby, I see your amazing dB level on all signals, with the same dish size, you must be inside any of the footprints tested.

I presume the beams are pointing more to the east at the mo and the spotbeam and PE beam are therefore being seen in the likes of Kiev on relatively small idshes. When it moves to 28.2 the area of illumination will presumably move more to the West......????

That's what I'm thinking too, maybe SES have done this deliberately so they can test the UK spot beam centred over Luxembourg? Do we know if any of 2F's beams are steerable to make minor adjustments etc, I'd guess so?

Gonzobaby, what size dish are you using in Kiev? Apologies if you've already mentioned this further back in the thread.

spot beam is fixed i believe maybe a slight movement for tweaking depending on shap[inhg defects.

pan eurpeon i think is steerable

once it moves west the beam with orbit location and incline etc will be vastly different, looking at the spectrum i think theyt have only tested the spot beam once and that when people seen a very low power the rest of the time i think it ses turning the power up and down to see how it effects the beam and tranmission

edit i would be testing if my wife would let me get my new dishs and spectrum analyise see making me wait until next year so hopeful i can test 2e on various setups
