Astra 2G: Iberia & Balearics Reports

....... Anyone else have something to say about 2G signals?
Signal levels have dropped during the day, but at the moment still have all txp´s locked apart from BBC Scotland HD

All good here on the west of Menorca at the moment. Mind you, will need to see what happens this coming winter before I can say things are better than before. Last winter the footprints of 2E & 2F UK beams moved enough to put Menorca further into the Barcelona null. This lead to loss of a number of SD/HD UK spot beam channels for people (me included) with $ky digiboxes and the same size dish as myself.

Signals have risen about 0.3dB in the last 45 mins, should be about highest level by now.

BBC News HD still holding at 8.3dB at the moment, so fall off seems to be slower than a couple of days ago.
Hopefully Huevos will post an updated graph to confirm this.

I se the drop also. the 80x85cm dish was just about getting bbc news hd an hour or so ago, but now no.

BBC News HD now fluctuating between 7.8db and 8.0db, starting to break up.
BBC on 10788 ( 2E ) holding at 8.9dB, much stronger.
CH5 8.6db
ITV HD 8.6db
11053 H ITV2 HD nothing
Data signal interference?

Very, very slight nudge to the West has resulted in a full dB gain on 10964H ( CH5 ) and has also restored ITV HD on the 1.4m dish, without significant reduction on other channels ie BBC1 South etc. CH 5 now reading 0.2dB higher than BBC1 South. Only thing not working is BBC Scotland HD, which could be a skew issue as was using S1 ( no HD ) not the Emitor

So that would mean that 2G is a few ticks further west than 2F?

At my position the signal is the strongest since the move for BBC Scotland, ITV HD, C5, C4 etc. today.

It would appear so from what I have noticed.

Just went on the solarium armed with the Emitor, using constellation mode have managed to get BBC News HD back for a little longer, but still no ITV2 HD. Did notice I could improve 11023 H with focal adjustment but had detrimental effect on 2E. Too hot up there to play any more today!

Just checked on the SE, BBC News HD still up, 8.0 - 8.1 dB, everything else I´ve been checking ok accept still no ITV 2 HD of the small dish ( no problem on the 1.8 )
While fixing a PC problem for my friend just now had a quick look on his 1.4 Fam, ITV HD working ok, albeit a little low according to the GI box. Suspect a small bump west would cure that, as it did for mine.

All channels that are tuned well and comets with normal values for Madrid, less 11053H either the 16.06.2015, 18.06.2015 bad, the signal ??, good according to the spectrum analyzer Rover SRM-50, but the tuner it can not be opened.

Let the channel variations and see if some tp's has an important signal rise as these 4 tp's.

Todos los canales que comentas se sintonizan bien y con valores normales por Madrid, menos 11053H, bien el 16-6-2015, mal el 18-6-2015, la señal??, buena segun el analizador de espectro Rover SRM-50, pero el sintonizador no lo puede abrir.

Dejo las variaciones que veo de canales y si algun tp's tiene una subida importante de señal como estos 4 tp's.

11222H(C1L)= 16.50dB Señal/SNR100 AGC99% BER 0 Greatest Hits ++++++++++ 6'5dB :-)
11224V(C2L)= 18.00dB Señal/SNR100 AGC99% BER 0 RT HD ++++++++++++++++++ 8'0dB :-)
11260V(C2U)= 16.50dB Señal/SNR100 AGC99% BER 0 B4U Music  +++++++++++++ 4'0dB :-)
11261H(C1U)= 17.50dB Señal/SNR71% AGC99% BER 0 horror channel++++++++++ 5'5dB :-)
