....... armed with the Emitor, using constellation mode .......... Did notice I could improve 11023 H with focal adjustment but had detrimental effect on 2E.

Morning Brian..........overall are you pleased with the Emitor.......¿any negatives with it for yourself?

Assume the 'Signals are lower this morning' are readings with the 1.4m.

Will see a friend later with a 1.4m on Urb. Da Vinci (behind Mercadona)...will be interesting.

Yes, signals down today. BBC NewsHD never happy this morning, keeps pixelating.

Quite happy with the Emitor, down side is screen is very difficult to read in bright sunlight and we have a lot of it here!

That backs up the " bump " West theory and means if 2E is at 28.35 they are 0.5 further apart than 2F was. Must be the difference.

BBC News HD now 8.4dB here, highest I´ve seen it so far, must have had some local atmospheric problem yesterday.

Using Huevos´s graph as my bible have just recorded todays peak at 8.6db. Extrapolating this, should keep BBC News HD until about 16:30

BBC News HD 8.2dB at 0700 this morning, about 0.4 higher than same time yesterday

Got 11023H23000 at about 1300 at 9.2db.... on a 100x110cm dish nr Gandia.

My 80x85cm dish this morning was almost liking 11023H23000 - almost coming thru (heavy pixilation)

Tricky to do any good measuring at the moment, as we have a small storm here.

But also tried a GI 125x135 the other day - as someone had it and was having problems getting most 2efg spots on it....
Same design as the Tecatel 125x135, but using lightweight metal...and a 60mm support, rather than the tecatels 70mm support.
Came third in my tests behind the Tecatel, and then the Fam "1.4" dish...but UK spots were available, but just not as good as the proper tecatel 125x135 dish. Am hoping to get another one sometime to do a full comparison, but not holding much hope (like their famaval "clone" they also do!)

Hi all
Been monitoring 2g for a week now, Was dissapointed at first as a lot of people were saying that 2G was the same reception as 2F..For me it was evident that it wasn't, in fact 2E was stronger than 2G. This morning has been the highest so far. Can move dish a nudge to gain on 2G or 2E, here are my figures on a FTE 1.5 in Totana Murcia (near Lorca) at 11.10am
Receiver starts to break up at 6.2db...Using a cheapo lnb from pc componentss, have also checked with black ultra which i can gain on some transponders but lose on others..Stronger in the mornings and late evening after 10/11pm
The only transponder i haven't seen much of is 11053 but today is quite strong today..Have had No break up in the last week on 2G with the exception of 11023 which pixelated a bit on a couple of afternoons..

Hi Richard, have you adjusted your focus, have noticed on my smaller dishes sliding the LNB closer to the dish face has had a significant improvement to the SNR?

Hi Brian, yes adjusted the focus but not for a few days, will have another try soon now that 2G seems to have settled a bit

Held BBC News HD at 8.7dB for quite a while this morning, looks slightly up

Here in Totana at 10am BBC News HD 11023 is 8.4db which will gradually decline through the day, normally goes down to 7.2/7.3db at it's lowest but still receivable...For me 2F used to be higher in the morning, lower in the afternoon and early evening and peaking at it's highest late evening at around 10-12pm...2G seems to be at its highest in the morning and declining in the afternoon and picking up slightly in the evening..At it's peak i was getting a healthy 10db on 11023 and 11097 in the evening for a couple of hours when they were on 2F but now don't get anywhere near that at the moment..Maybe down to seasonal changes..Going to have a fiddle at the weekend

Brian, it seems your receiver has a different threshold than mine,mine starts to break up at 6.8db for HD and 6.1/6.2db for SD where i think i read in 1 of your posts that yours breakups at a higher db

Hi Richard, most boxes, I believe, start to break up at about 7.5dB for SD FEC2/3, A little higher for HD. As FEC goes up, ie. 5/6 you need more SNR. If your box works as low as 6.1dB, cherish it and buy another if you get the chance!
