hi satelliteman,
the SMC 2.04 will go to non epg number.
example:
Itv cnannel 103 can not be received here even with a 4 meter dish.
but it is available on a backup frequency.
so you program ITV in the others section, the you tell the port to go to 103 and the you press the blue button on the sky remote.
mow it shoul read (103m) and this will tell the SMC to go to a non EPG channel.
it will go to 103, see no signal, then go to services(6) and enter and find the first channel there (itv) or any other channel.
it worked like a champ from agu till frw weeks ago.
thats because option 6 is favorites and 7 is now others.
the smc will count down 6 and not 7.
it is in the application guide section 7.

you can remove the perental pin option as well,provieded you don't change channels
