Going to drag the Weber out later today and throw some sliced potatoes on it to roast while I do more de-grassing of the "lawn" then when I'm done throw some pork shoulder steaks on there too to cook up & baste with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, and then enjoy, all to myself, cos me...

Ernie - 'It's nice out isn't it'.
The version I heard:

Eric - 'It's nice out today isn't it?'

Ernie - 'Quick, put it away. Here comes a policeman.'

I bought a Morecambe and Wise annual ( must have been 1979 or thereabouts) ant it was printed with the original response more or less faded out to white.

Some people do write utter drivel to get their own 15seconds of fame though.

Pork shoulder steaks marinated in secret spices (cos I forget what they were!) & basted in BBQ sauce - Win...

Potatoes I forget the name of how they're prepped - Fail, didn't cook all the way through annoyingly despite having been on there for a good couple hours beforehand, probably my lack of competence with the vents on the Weber...

Still, I'm happy overall, cos BBQ makes me happy...

Only the 3rd?
I think tonight was the 15th time or so this year for me.
(But of course I cheat with a butane-fuelled grill in the colder months where the char-coal does not seem to have quite the oomph...)

But yes, today was the first mow of the year here too :)
And tonight the 16th time (or thereabouts)... :D
Have washed the terrace today, so the grill's in the garden. Makes a nice portrait...

It's not my garage, Dave, it's my house, man...
(or is that too obvious a pun??)

Forgive me, but You will have to get used to this Forum having an, erh, acquired taste of humour... :D

You are seeing the kid's end of the house, which is what the British would call a Bungalow.
And yes it is very nice - especially after we put the new roof on 7 years ago - before that there was only 12 cm of insulation in the roof... When we bought the house, it was clear that something had to be done...

Thanks ST1, I also have a sense of humour , although sometimes it is tested by bad puns!
Out of interest, how much insulation does it have now?

12 + 25 cm... the roof with the metal end (w. 25 cm of insulation) is new, and is built on top of the old roof (12 cms).

It´s the same with modern TV´s, shut the power off and they go off, not like the old valve units that kept the white dot in the center of the screen for half the night! Bring back charcoal BBQ´s and valve TV´s!
