man! 80% - i came across these earlier around 55% i think....my dish is now stuck on 61w - my silly VBOX cant move it back east - job for the morning....usually my Jaegar has enough ooompf to do it.
@John - wise words, thanks, can you upload a pic of what you mean, i cant picture it. thanks!A counter weight on an extension off the rear of the dish will help a positioner or actuator cope better with getting back from extreme outer arc positions.
I use one now on my 1.2 Gibby thats loaded up with five different band lnb's on a 'changer' and i used one on a 1.8 CM loaded with lnb's on a changer in the past .
My 2.2 PF has a fair old bit of weight hanging up front with the C-band motorised poloriser / scalar motor stuff and this makes the 'Venture' 36"er and the RC2000 grunt a bit when coming off of the extreme arc edges so was thinking about adding a counterweight to that as well this summer perhaps.

At 55% signal level on the GTMedia you are doing OK.
Remember, @John is using a 2.2m Elite Antennas prime focus dish with triple axis motorisation, a Prodelin rib tickler and he is a master of his craft.
He will be as peaked on 55.5W as it is possible to be and I doubt if anyone else in the UK could match his signal levels with a 2.2m dish.
Dont get disheartened, you are doing well for a first dip into C-Band, especially considering the 80% signal level of @John is coming from a dish with approximately 50% more surface area.
You have done infinitely better than I have from 'ere on 55.5W, I aint got line of sight to the bítch. Or rather, it is so blocked it's as much use as a wet fart down a drainpipe, I think I got 0.9dB on one frequency.
