I did not do the spin around 360 degrees, I only did the general direction of the dish.
It will be tomorrow probably for the 360 degree whirl with the feed and the Promax Max Hold using the dish reception .

I had not used the Max Hold functionality before today, is it similar to the "Persistence" feature, another wan I have not used?

I just prefer using Max Hold , the screens a bit less busy so to speak

...Also next to do, with Max Hold on, is do the same with the Promax but with the dish looking at the satellite again showing the broadcast frequencies on a full band screen grab that will give you an idea how strong the 5G signal is to the weaker broadcast signals are - it might show you the desruptive 'wash' effect over the nearby broadcast signals ?...

Here is the Max Hold video with the Promax connected to the dish LNB at the FULL span setting.

John,

The LNB is an Astrotel Gold Precision, brand new old stock that I bought from a USA seller. The quoted frequency range is 3.4 to 4.2 GHz
I think @scopus or you have wan of these, they seem to get good reports even though they are quite an old model?

Yep have one of those, use to use one at some stage before upgrading to a Norsat 8000RI, they were a good performer. Having a quoted start rx frequency of 3.4GHz unfortunately made them very prone to sucking in the early 3.4GHz 5G rubbish.
It was very good on the Pal stuff from 70° West as well untill 5G came along.

You can see that when the 5G cell gives you a good squirt of RF from one of it's panels facing in your direction how it is overpowering the your lnb, you can see the normal level of the satellite channel in yellow trace compared to the Blue 5G swamping signal - really destructive. From experience, for now, whilst there is only the 3.4Ghz 5G emissions , a cheap 3.7-4.2 GHz External filter will more than likely cure It, it will only get worse for you i'm afraid when the 5G sigs get higher in frequency.

I braved the local roads early yesterday morning for shopping so have a bit of time today to fit the Titanium C1 PLL LNB with 3.7-4.2 GHz range.
It is quoted as having a WiMax filter but not sure how much impact that will have. Hopefully the LNB narrower frequency range will cut out or partially block the interfering signal at approximately 3.43 GHz?

I will run the Max Hold test once this is on the dish to compare with the Max Hold result I posted above from the 3.4-4.2 GHz LNB.

'ere we go, picture of what I think might be the mast causing the interference
It is approximately 500 metres away and if I use dishpointer to get a direct central aim to the mast the dish is on 28.2.0E.

Is it a 5G mast?

I'm back

Changing the C2W-PLL LNB to the C1-PLL LNB has improved things.
Signal levels are improved and not suffering the volatile fluctuation that they were previously.

Even though the C1-PLL LNB has a range of 3.7 - 4.2 GHz, the interfering frequency at approximate;y 3.43 GHz is still showing up on the Promax but at a reduced level.
The LNB change has just about resolved things for now. However, I have a feeling it is not the end of the 5G interference.

The Promax full span spectrum with Max Hold activated is linked to below.
There is quite a strong Max Hold on the left side of the Promax spectrum in the video, this is centred around 4.3 GHz, part of which is beyond the range transmitted by 46.0 East.

That's a nice drop in frequency response from that lnbf Dave and could well do you ok untill more 5G arrives - is it a filtered TiT ?.

It is the WiMax version of the Titanium LNBF.
I think there is a later version that is supposed to be with 5G filtering but a narrower frequency range.

Still battling with 5G interference - the trace in Blue shows the strength of the 5G transmissions compared to the normal level C-band signals and the wash effect further up the band. The analyser marker is on 3895 R
