A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The whole section appears to have random posts on received signals.

If you have a 1.2m only though, stay off the fringe stuff as it won't give you any useful info.

The Satbeams website does allow selection by band only, but again there is no limit to dish size that can be inserted in the listings

Hi does anyone hunt the C band feeds, what sats are best for them here in the uk please.

hi - martin --
i don,t do much hunting for feeds these days -- and i,v never come across many in C band to be honest - although Lyngsat lists feed frequencies for some of the C band sats .
I recall Vipersan finding feeds now and again - :) he may be able to tell you which sats are best to try.
regards nelson.b.

Are you familiar with the Satelliweb site? If you search for C Band, Cband, C-Band etc you will see previous reports. But they are few and far between.

My best success feed hunting in C has been the linear sats at 55 and 58 West ...
Big dish needed for these though..
Occasional feeds 24 and 27 west also.

Cool, great to get more observers for C-band frequencies! Been very, very difficult to make other enthusiasts to excite in finnish sat-forum. So this is only place to get new info from findings and even "serious" talk about C-band.

Me too still newbie in C-band after a little over 1 year, though otherwise more than 20-years with satellite-tv. Many cool channels what you dont get from Ku-band. And what is the best, surprises quite regularly. Some channels can find only sometimes and even new satellites still, like 2.9E on last wednesday. Old DX-spirit back opposite what Ku mostly nowadays?!?

Been dabbling into c band for about 7 years now and the funny thing here in North America is that there are more open and worthwhile channels on c band as opposed to ku.

A really good feed I enjoyed at the western extremes can be read about here :-
http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/nutcracker-royal-opera-house-55west.160217/#post-865097

Surprising and enjoyable 'twas

As Costa says ..
plenty of sports feeds do crop up from time to time ..
and one New year I managed to intercept a cracking feed for the USA rose parade ..
http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/threads/rose-parade-test-for-trinidad-55w.157258/#post-829753
Again ..most enjoyable ..
Lots of interest @ 55 and 58W imo.

Just scanned Intelsat 805 at 55.5w for some feeds and of the many that I scanned in were the Met Opera feed and an unknown Latin American soccer match:
