Is RTA HD 52e the best option for Afghanistan? 19:30 GMT

Am monitoring RTA via live stream but looks like regular programming. Not surprising given that Taliban is in power, so the Gregorian calendar is probably not much going to be a thing.
Tolo news went to news at half hour, but nothing on New Year either

The Afghani new year is weird - they dont celebrate it like we do - theirs is a few months away. Plus with the Taliban in charge again, many fun things are being stopped anyway.....

Most of the UAE emirates / Oman areas go over at 8 so keep an eye on Sharjah Oman etc if you are channel hopping. Plus Armenia / Azerbaijahn etc

Abu Dhabi has been great this year. A fabulous drone show on the run up to midnight then great fireworks - Dubai seem to have gone for the lights more than the bangs this year.

Excellent display from Abu Dhabi, good sound as well. Some feeds have had poor sound, though I think absences due to covid is to blame.
