@william-1 & @Tururu

Thanks guys, and I do understand that you are both getting signals that can be recorded&/or viewed - but, as I said, my "problem" yesterday was that I could not get any such signals to view or to lock on to - absolutely nothing showed up on 11046/H/14400 during the times I tried to monitor it (albeit I was not doing that later yesterday evening).

I see from William's screen-grab of 11046/H/14400 with the signal characteristics that the SQ was 67% but, as I said yesterday, I was getting a much lower SQ on the Horizontal transponder 10962/H/2880 that I could pick up where I was seeing only 33% .

Therefore, please could you check that transponder and see what you are currently getting as this may help me to narrow-down where the problem lays (I think it may be the LNB's H output levels, as I said yesterday)?

If so I will use/get another LNB!

Made a couple of changes at the LNB on the dish at lunchtime:
- Swopped the feed to the 2nd part of the Inverto Twin -> no obvious improvement on H signals on 10E
- Noticed that the Inverto was sitting at a slightly off-set angle to the arm, so turned it back to what should be the correct angle and tightened the LNB clamp, which appears to have loosened a bit -> something like a 10% improvement in Signal Quality on 10962/H/2880 (and other H-polarity channels), but still no signal on 11045/H/14400 ATM.

The TP is not always active.
When it is active, it may not have content (the 2 channels), if you search, you can not find anything.
When you find the 2 channels for example, it can be a black image, I thought it could be 4: 2: 2 so record a few minutes to see the recorded information and leave doubts, often black video bitrate had 16mbs.
This satelite 10ºE with good weather I have no problems with 90cm, but with bad weather (rain / snow) from time to time pixela and has no solution.

Ahora mismo esta activo (18:30 GMT+2), pero sin contenido/canales. El receptor marca cero de señal
Right now it is active (18:30 GMT+2), but without content/channel. The receiver marks zero signal

Thanks - I didn't actually expect to see any content on 11045/H/14400 at the moment.

However, when doing a narrow blindscan (11020-11080) on the TM, I could see a "blip" of a signal at around 11045H and a couple more "blips" around 11048-49H, but no channels. That would seem to confirm what you show above (but, of course, I don't have anywhere the equipment and expertise that you do!)

Sorry, but I think I am going to give up on this seemingly-futile quest to get even a sniff of the Dakar feeds on 10E - I have been trying on the TM, SX88 and Freesat V7HD (having very carefully adjusted the longitude and transponder parameters on each one) and I just can't get these feeds on any of them.

I just don't what I am doing "wrong" because I can get a good selection of all the main broadcast channels, including the BBC & Sky encrypted ones, at decent signal & SQ levels, but I just can't see ANYTHING on 11045/H/14400!

If you are in the mood for a quick check/fix I can have a go with a meter at your place in the next few days.

Post some recent images of your dish and surroundings here first so we can all have a laugh, er, make educated guesses on where the issue lies.

@CH
Thanks and I will probably take you up on that offer if we can work out a mutually-suitable date/time - although it's going to be difficult because I have a lot of important & unavoidable commitments over the next couple of weeks (I have to be my wife's taxi driver for lots of her health-related appointments, need to visit an old friend in hospital in Northampton, + some U3A stuff).

I will post some photos of the dish tomorrow, but I am sure the dish is tracking pretty well as I "seem" to be able to get "decent" signals from pretty much every Ku-band sat from 53E to 45W that should be receivable on the TD110 at this location in Hayes.

OTOH, I know you will baulk at the number of connections in the sat coax, but that's an unavoidable result of the dish being a long way from the house and the tortuous path to the receiver "stack" in the upstairs "office" in it.

Pm me, I have a large amount of cable (in one piece) I would normally discard as it is not on the reel.

Well, we'll probably need about 40m or so to get from the dish to the receiver stack, and it won't be a quick job because it has to go along behind a lot of trellising and then up, along and across the extension, through the wall and then around the "office" wall to the receiver stack (no choice, that's the way it is :-doh.). If it helps, I'll get a get another 50m reel of WF100 before you come over.

It is probably something very simple like your dish declination as your dish is big enough in your location for these signals,

A normal motorised dish installation is very straight forward for receiving the major satellites 42 east,39 east,28.2 east,19.2 east,13 east 5 east 1 west 5 west & 30 west,
But the feed hunter is looking for feeds that are sometimes very weak signals so the dish/motor set up is more critical than a normal installation,

Declination might be the issue as I had difficulty in making very small adjustment to the declination of the TD110 (it's heavy!)whilst tightening up the relevant bolts on the back that hold the dish to the mount - 2 sets of hands (CH & myself?) would make life much easier (that's why I plan to mod the mount with a screw-based device to make that more precise when I have to do it on my own).

The secret is cross tightening the bolts in small increments, top left,bottom right, top right, bottom left, until fine tuned to your ref.sat.

Had help to get my 150cm gibby on the pole, then fine tuned it using this procedure myself, luckily head height and had a dsr and tv in visible view to fine tune the dish.

Unfortunately the TD110 doesn't have 4x separate bolts to tighten, but only 2 long ones - and the bolt heads and nuts are on opposite sides of the mounting bracket, and so I can't do the same thing whilst still supporting the dish exactly in position. ( were I Superman, that would not be a problem! :-rofl2)

If you hold one hand bottom dead centre, with minimal upward pressure, whilst tweaking your nuts with the other hand, then all is well with the TD110.
