Wow, love these holiday photos, I guess that terrestrial TV is a rarity in some of these countries, either that or it is totally inadequate.:)

i have no idea as I saw these whilst on a short trip to morocco...I am actually in Valencia, Spain, where the installs require more "professional" made dishes rather than the home made ones....but maybe I will expriment with a paella dish in the next few weeks!

A mixed bag!

Pic 5, which has a Sky Dish for perspective, suggests the bigger Dish is facing quite a way to the West. Were these Dishes on domestic premises, or were some of them on retail/commercial?

The zone 2 in picture 5 certainly looks slightly warped. It'll be the camera angle :D

hi - Tivù -

i saw i saw 7 of them in total -- at different locations - in the far north west -- and along the north coast - all were on private houses.
80 - 90 c.m sized - and all as you see in pic 5 - a bit to the west --

cheers nelson_b

ps - spotted this - penta - as well - neatly tucked in behind a chimney.

Right-ho.

So with their possible Nordic allegiance, I wonder if they are for Thor or Sirius?

AAAAhhhhhh, just to inform you!! People in Islamic countries, where the receiver is not legal, uses that homemade dishes, as you say. If you pay more, you can find high - end class material dishes but the majority of them uses that kind of dishes like the photos of Nelson_b. The fact’s that they make it for diplomats or the foreigners living here, not for the normal people. It’s prohibited “as they say” using this kind of transmissions, but who cares. In Islamic countries you can find whatever you want:
Caviar, Alcoholics “every kind” , Dishes, Original DVDs and CDs and ….. but you’ve to pay a little more.

Those kinds of dishes are not interesting. They must be good painted or stained.
They become rusted very soon in rainy days, in winter or fall. Better not using that kind of dishes. And the most important is:
The signal quality is beeeeennnnnnnnn reduced or lessened. You’ll have parasites.

Arbi.
