I had the opportunity to buy a 140 cm prime focus, I made an adaptation to mount it on the EGIS engine.

The particularity of this AZ-EL motor is that the number of pulses is proportional to the displacement (100 pulses in AZ - 400 pulses in EL). I can therefore calculate with great precision the position of all the sats. Initialization is tricky but you only have to do it once on the installation. I chose to have the AZ index = 9000 (like 90°) due south, and the EL index = 18000 at this point (maximum elevation).
To obtain these values precisely, the two counters must be initialized to a precise value when searching for the origins. These values are defined by one or two tests:
1-after having performed the AZ and EL origin searches.
2-we choose a SAT almost due south (9°E for me) we start the positioning.
3-of course we will not obtain a good result on the first try.
4-we adjust AZ and EL manually to have maximum reception.
5-we calculate the difference between the index obtained and the pre-calculated one, this difference will be applied to the offset value in dial8b6.
6-we redo step 1 and step 2 should be perfect.
