I tried the 1.2m Prodelin with optimised probe and locked OSLO. Slight problem - it is precisely aligned so there's a tree between the dish and 26E. However, it shows what 1/2 FEC can do - no beak up at 1.8dB SNR.

9750 for my Inverto KaKu and Octo LNBFs. That's using the TBS 6983 and Crazyscan.

A modded SUP-2400 downconverter can be used for receivers with the default IF range ( for instance my Promax spectrum analyser). The LOF to enter in the receiver in this case will be 8840 MHz -

Es'Hail 2 WB test frequency with SUP2400 modded downconverter - LOF for receivers with only default IF range (950-2150)

10495-9750 = 745

2400-745 = 1655

10495-1655 = 8840 LOF

That`s a great finding guys.
But I`ve got something special for you `cause as far as I see, everybody is using just a standard KU band LNB for this low frequency.

I do not wanna make advertising for the manufacturer of the LNB, but Peon keeps looking forward and is always a bit ahead, so he has the LNB designed for this frequency range.
Actually that LNB designed for 10-10.7 GHz has been lying in the drawer since 12/2016 and waiting for its time to come...

There`s also another LNB that goes pretty above 12.75 Ghz range, too.
As it was said, Peon is always prepared for fishing no matter what band we`ll talk about.

My thanks for pictures go to Peon.
Pictures have been edited for personal/advert reasons.

Also, what do you think about the second frequency that appears on Peon`s scan?
The scan was performed on standard LNB not the one mentioned above.
Can anybody else see 10598 H?

This is exactly what my colleague Marval450 mentioned to me. It may be true as there is no info about any transponder in this range on the official site, but I posted that picture because there is no sign of the "LO" in the Flie`s screenshot.

But an explanation may be that he uses a single band LNB...

Yes, I have that one on vertical, the same frequency exactly. Something from the SUP-2400 maybe?

No extra side peak on horizontal though.

10489.5-10490V is the narrow band TP with CW, data & SSB hence rapid changes. It is active now and open for use.

<edit> See band plan https://wiki.batc.org.uk/images/b/bf/Eshail2_DATV_Bandplan_V1.pdf

@John You are seeing a strong signal or 2 on top of the 500kHz of transponder noise.

In the plot the thin red line is CW (Morse) and the wider lines in the centre are SSB. 10490 is an Airspy spurious.

@satosk, no idea what the thing at 10598 is although there are terrestrial radars and intruder alarms etc around 10.6-10.7GHz.

That LNB being used has a LO generating 10.600 GHz, whether by a DRO or via an XTAL. so possibly showing in the scan. Certainly I get that at 10.600 if I try to use, say, an Inverto BU.

Hi everybody ! This is quite new and interesting for me, I am using octagon sf4008 uhd and DRO EK-Ekselans LNB Quad, is it possible to catch this frequency on the system I mentioned above - first of all, how I have to make the necessary adjustments in the receiver and therefore - is this LNB able to catch such a frequency ? Thanks !
