hotbird has lost its populrity in iran after launching yahsat and turkmenalem satellites. with applying super beam in hotbird f and g i think receiving channels will need larger dish.Let's not forget that some countries in the Middle East or the Far East, or North Africa use satellites with European coverage because there are many people from those countries living on our continent. It is enough to look at how many such TV packages are addressed to these foreigners/emigrants, as you want to call them, only on Hotbird or other central satellites in Europe.
The phenomenon of mass migration from different geographical areas in Europe is forcing many program operators to take this new reality into account. So let's not be surprised that there are such programs from exotic areas on many European satellites.
If what I am saying now is true, then the transmission of Arabic, Turkish, etc. channels makes sense in one way or another.
You seem to have very high hopes - even here in decadent Europe satellite tv delivered p-o-r-n is very tame. You can find much better stuff online.middle east footprint will be used foe fta and p o r n channels i think
Its an inevitable consequence of increasing demand for data & video services where the amount of available bandwidth (frequencies) are fixedHistory repeats itself, the same story....from bad to worse
Eutelsat will have known years ago EXACTLY what the coverage parameters were. It will have been locked in at the tranmission dish design stagewhy there is no official news on coverage map if there is any change of footprints
Eutelsat might have decided by now what would be coverage map for new super beam
