So what are you saying, is it worth trying to get 54.9 E on my location with my setup?
And regarding the T2-MI, even if my receiver / software (because I guess its a software limitation?) currently doesn't support it, I should still be able to get a signal?

The northern beam could well be possible. Try first with an easy target like the radios on 12.531 H.

I am not sure if your receiver Vu+ Zero will work with T2-MI.
I watch Russian channels from 14°W in Belgium and from Internet in HD.
If you understand Russian you will find how to watch by searching here:
dzen.ru
I haven't tried adding a converter for 53°E, it is out of interest for me.
Express AM8 on 14 W seems to offer very few channels,, otherwise it would proabably have been really easy to get here.
Most of the channels are on C-band and encrypted.. Very few channels are FTA on ku band.
Do you refer to IPTV when suggesting searching on dzen.ru ? I have found very many cheap iptv services but I really prefer to go by satellite, mainly because; 1. Legal, 2. No payment hassle, 3. Fast channel switching without buffering delays etc...4. I like satellite :)

Just search with
смотреть бесплатно тв каналы
( = watch for free TV channels )

Me too I like the 15 satellites on my 4 multifeed dishes.

Thanks, I got it :)
I have tried several iptv providers and they work fine, but I really want to go by satellite anyway..
Can I replace my ku band LNB with a C-band head in my 1 m dish, or do I need another dish to get the c-band?

@pacmyc,
I just checked T2_MI muxes on 54.9E. All t2-mi transponders with symbol rate 5119 have left the satellite. Only 12674 V and 12693 V are still active, with uneven signal, but they are still receivable.
So the list of transponders listed on neumoDVB (above) is no longer valid.

Added:
I also checked on 53.0E to see if the two T2-MI muxes (12575 H and 12593 H) are active and if I can lock them.
As you can see, the signal is at the same level as two months ago. So Express-AM6 can also be received.

Indeed, checking the upper band spectrum on 53.0E shows that the two T2-MI muxes have left.
Instead, according to the parameters, I found a transponder activated on 10998 H,15282,3/4,8PSK, probably a T2-MI mux. Unfortunately, the signal on this one is too weak to lock. Same as the other sub-bands on the Vertical polarity.

Thanks again for all your input. What site is the most reliant and up-to-date, when it comes to active tp's and channel lists?

Certainly the most important satellite profile sites (Lyngsat, FlySat, KoS, etc.) are updated regularly. But, even though I may be suspected of pro domo, as I am a contributor, FlySat is the most responsive to the reports it receives from contributors. And it's no coincidence that many satellite forums are directly linked to this site to inform their visitors.
Of course there will be other opinions about the most credible site in this respect. But as you are interested in the transponder and service updates being published as quickly as possible, then FlySat is worth visiting more often.

OK..
I've been trying hard to get my new dish up, but starting to run out of alternatives, so I hope you don't mind me asking a total off topic question here;
1. Is it legal to re-distribute FTA channels via Internet ?
2. Are there any known legal providers of FTA channels via Internet? I'd be happy to pay for it,,

As I have no legal training in this area, I can say that 20 years ago, I knew there was no restriction on FTA TV channels on the shop network. In the meantime, more from hearsay, I have heard that it is still good to have the consent of the TV station that broadcasts on satellite because each has its policy.
The best person to answer this question would be an individual who works at a cable provider. Many TV services are picked up from satellites and then distributed on cable, especially FTA, but I don't know if that company pays for those TV channels.

Well yes, I have seen such cable providers as well. They offer ONE FTA channel and charges something like 20 EUR a month :) no, that I am not ready to pay for.,, But if someone would offer something like "All FTA's from satellite, a, b, c" etc.

IPTV providers dont work like that because they wouldnt sell many receivers. The market for ALL the free channels from say Hotbird would be tiny.

What you actually get is is thematic sales - something along the lines of:
250 Arabic stations
150 Indian stations
20 Senegalese channels (yup you can have a Senegal bouquet of 20 channels for just Eu8 for a month!)
