For those who haven't seen the Race yet, suffice it to say that the Season may (or may not) have started in fine Fettle :-tulip2

Who was the late entry? Is it Jimmy? Coz we now have 31 teams in the league :)

A disastrous start to the campaign for the Scotborders teams - 19th & 26th :-rofl2

All very tight at the top but Tom34 & Topper take the honours for the top 3 after the first race.

Good to have the F1 back on out tv's - it means the worst of the winter is over and we can look forward to slightly warmer days.

And I've gone from being a "Rookie" again, when I reactivated my Account, to being awarded my "Expert" Super-Licence all in the space of two days. I feel sure I can make an absolute mockery of that!

Yes guilty as charged, I was #31 - a rushed post pub selection so not holding out much hope!

Oh, I don't know: Firmly mid-table in 14th (out of 31) ain't so shabby.

After a good season last year, my no2 team is now propping up the table...

Wonder if Sky Sports "The F1 Show" will introduce a "team boxing" contest between teammates.... think webber would take everyone on at the same time the way he is at the moment!
Don't think he will be at RB next year.and maybe not in F1 after all the crap that he has had....

Sigh. Team tactics kills what is normally a decent race.

The trouble with strategic Qualifying is that it can bu**er up one's otherwise sensible selections!

Ok, it adds another dimension to the Sport (/Business/Entertainment) but if I'd paid good money to go Trackside, I'd be really ticked off by now.

Maybe a Rule tweak to force the Q3 participants to set a fast lap or face being sent to the back of the Grid?

That could work but personally, I'd rather they brought back qualifying tyres. I know the 'economical' tyre usage is a nod towards cost saving but if the top ten had no such restraint maybe it bring back some spectacle.

I feel so sorry for Mark Webber. For sure he won't present a problem to Vettel from the back of the grid. His short interview after qualifying showed a man who feels the world is against him at the moment......

Well I suspect there will still be an Aussie in his seat next year, I suspect that Daniel Ricciardo will move from his sister team to Red Bull and a deal will be done very shortly if he continues to impress the way he is at the moment.

The worldwide audience figures are dropping rapidly and part of the problem is the move of F1 coverage behind various paywalls.

The UK audience dropped 10% last year alone, although thats nothing compare to China where is gone down by over a third!

It's not the Drivers that are the problem, but the cosy relationship with the somewhat improved (why?) Marussia ...............

And Kovy is a lucky boy, having dissed his employer repeatedly towards the end of last Season.

Talk about reverse gear!

Utilising the Mclaren wind tunnel is the reason along with having KERS for the first time
