The Caterham looks like its got a dick on its nose!!!!

At least the cars all look different with their new noses....until half way thru the season when all the teams look at each others nose and try to see which one works best and nabs it....

Biggest incident was Lewis stuffing the Merc into a wall after part of the front wing broke off (probably trying to hide in shame!)

Has anyone else noticed On the " New Lotus F1 " Nose....One Fang is longer than the other..?.......Check out the overhead shot on their site.......Or do i need to go to spec savers...?... :-)

There is a reason for that: The Nose cannot have two points, which it would if both tusks were the same length.

They got round it by shortening one tusk so it falls outwith the definition of, and regulations for, the nose.

Yes, it looked like that to me.....seems fangs ain't what they used to be......I'll collect my coat....

Iv'e just had a alert......People are saying ...the Lotus Fangs....are not legal.....or in the "Spirit" of the new Regulations..........

The Spirit is irrelevant, only the Letter of the Regs.

Interpreting the Rules in cunning ways is how Teams have attempted to gain advantage since the very beginning of the Sport.

I seem to remember a brilliant engineer (sadly long since gone) producing a car which had sprung bodywork on top of a F1 chassis to increase the ground effects...it worked stupendously...too well as it turned out because it was outlawed...'tis ever thus when you have to find an 'edge'....oh, he used to own Lotus as well....

(the 'Red Rocket' is doing fine thanks, currently as an offset LNB on 23.5E on my TD 88)
