Thanks Pipino.... and I just saw the previous link to those C Band offset feedhorns... 60 Euros .. oops are they any good?
if you take the black holders coming on the CM feedhorn pack you can read on one side antenna you put them facing outboard as it pushes the lnb on the farest point from the dish (see the picture below)..tommorow i will retake few fresh snaps and post them here the lnb is skewed on the arc but refined at 24º clockwise on astra 2d ..by the way it will be nice posting some pictures of your system ;)..best regardsHuevos said:Hi Pipino,
I'm just trying to eyeball how deep you have got the Andrew's feedhorn positioned but it's not possible with the pictures that have been posted. I've read somewhere that the feedhorn needs to be as far from the dish as possible as the dish is 0.66 and the feedhorn for 0.60. What have you done here?
One other question: the channels you listed on Astra 2D, did you receive them with the LNB skewed for the arc or skewed for 2D?
Bump again?kamaleon said:bump bumpkamaleon said:Sorry for the dumb question, but your cband lnbs are off-centered, how do you move the dish accordingly to be able to get the sat you need for them?
try to use your imagination, yes you are right its not centred 100% but is off set about 3º to 5º out of the main focus point, but knowing the tolerence C band has you can have this marginkamaleon said:Bump again?
I haven't got it all together yet; been a bit too busy lately. I'm building the concrete base at the moment. I've got everything except the receiver now. As soon as I get it together I'll post some pics.pipino said:by the way it will be nice posting some pictures of your system
If one was to use his imagination why come to a forumpipino said:try to use your imagination, yes you are right its not centred 100% but is off set about 3º to 5º out of the main focus point, but knowing the tolerence C band has you can have this margin
kamaleon said:So you mean everytime you move your dish to a C band bird it's always 3° to 5° out?
pipino said:yes correct
yes of course ,and its logical ,but because C band tolerance the loss is minimal thats why i said thatkamaleon said:Wouldn't your dish perform better on Cband if the lnb was centered on the main focus of your dish?
but if you could just simply answer that I would appreciate
