No.

You need a scaffold mast or a 2 inch thick tube wall galvanised steel 16g/14g.

If you can't get a scaffold mast from a roofer or builders site, try a local aerial company, they may sell you a 2 inch pole or an off cut.

Try here _www.scaffolding-direct.co.uk

I used to use them, but found a place closer. You pay them and then pick up at a local agent.

Just choose the length you need. I normally use 8 ft if going above the gutter or cut an 8 ft into 3 pieces if going straight onto the wall.

Our site sponsors including southernsatellite will sell you t&ks.

Have a dig around at a builders yard /site. I think that's where I got the last one I had ;)

Coach screws / nylons are mentioned further up in the thread. You'll need 2.5inch V bolts.

Aluminium masting will crush as you tighten the motor, avoid if you can; although I have used them on a few occasions for small rigs.

Check 12 inch will give you enough clearance., if not then 18 inch.

Yes or try toolstation or screwfix if you have one local.

5 x M8 screws / M10 nylons, Get 6 or a bag of 10; you may shear one off :D
Bag of washers.

Darned right!

Very easy also to damage the plugs if they rotate as you engage the bolt.

The coach bolts themselves can actually sheer off sometimes, if over tightened.

I only found that to be the case with the drill or a socket set. I only use a draper ring spanner these days and no bolts have broken for the past two years.

Buy scaffolding new? Blimey, I've always gone to our local yard or van and given a suitable amount of beer money.
