How did this thread turn into a discussion about monoblocks?

Found the time and inclination to run the tests of the Duo 4.3 monoblock lnb on the 60 cm and 100 cm dish today.
Had to tape the lnb on the 100 cm dish as the gap between the feedhorns is smaller and would not allow me to put the top half of the lnb holder on.
60 cm dish recorded 11.3 dB on both 19.2 and 23.5 with very little problem finding the balance.
100 cm dish recorded 11.9 dB on 19.2 and 12.3 dB on 23.5 after finding the best balance point.

It would appear that the monoblock designed for the 80 cm dish works slightly better than the one designed for the 60 cm dish, but not much in it. ( Could be due to different days and time, so at some point in the future I will check both on the 100 cm again to confirm )

Is anyone using a monoblock to get Astra 2 28 E and Badr at 26 E?

Can you clarify if you're wanting to try this on your 1.5M Gibi. (and that your location is in Spain)

Google is not your friend with that make of LNB you gave me, the name "Gi" flings up Global Invacom because they share the same letters. Great LNB as well gives me up to another 10% on certain transponders, well beats the Inverto twin output I had on my motorised before it.

All jokes aside ( will never happen in my world ) are you using 3 IBU singles in the z2 setup? Imagine what you could achieve with 3 GI Twins instead:D:D:D

No mate, it's two singles on 13 & 19 and the retired twin from my motorised is on 28. As well as these I used the Triax TD rail system pack but left aside the tilt bracket holder it comes with, I much prefer centring the rig on 19E in this type of setup. I modded a ISS LNB holder to match the $ly dishes original LNB holders pitch angle also.

Good modification, but time to spend some money on decent LNB´s!

The IBU singles are fine here but to be honest most people who want a motorised system these days want a dual feed not just a single.

I'm sitting here with 81% SNR & 70 AGC on my wee Alien 8900 on BBC One Scotland HD with my multi LNB setup. The big man's in the room channel hoping as SWMBO is watching tripe as per.
