Lol Tivu is referring to a mini 1.2 cm dish :D

Although you might just about get 5W on such a mini dish.

Could be - I may have missed the point myself! :-ohcrap

But in any event it's a mild distraction from the lull in the serious action.

well its getting interesting this, I had a feeling that the 2.5m wouldn't be as straight forward as you wanted it to be, just seemed to be too easy getting hold of the larger dish and having a good ending.

Been following the thread and thought I would add my thought's. Looking at the picture earlier on showing the back of the 2.5m dish, I am surprised that there is little support for the 4 petals other than the attachment of the dish to the mount and pole. Larger dishes I have seen often have a metal ring / square supporting the dish nearer the dish edge. Thus stopping the dish from becoming flat. For example, my IRTE 2m dish has a very strong metal circular pipe attached which does the job. And before you ask, yes I have looked for Badr 6 and do not get a signal, however, I do not have a clear line of sight, I get Badr 4 fine though (SW Devon).

£350 without the polar mount as I need it for one of my other dishes... Polar mount is a couple of hundred tops, azel is less. So still a bargain over retail :)

Until I am fully setup I wont be selling anything as I dont know what I will need yet, hopefully not to much longer until I know

If you really want it mate I could post it to france, or for petrol meet you at callais if your near the port? I can stop and get some cheap beer while there :p

Calais is really too far for me, over a six hour return journey, plus the tolls and then I'm not sure it would fit in the car. I might be interested if it was a reasonable price and carriage to here wasn't too exhorbitant. Get yourself sorted with the 2.5 dish then pm me. (BTW I'm away at the end of next week for seven days and won't have the internet)

By the way, Belgium is even cheaper for beer than France!!

Yes ok, I should have capitalised the CM or indeed put it before the dimensions.

Anyway, correctly aligned and with the elevation spot on, one may catch many things with a tiddler.
