A good job well done, thanks for your efforts Jason, I do not know where the season has gone to, life seems to be flashing before me and I don't have a chance to savour it, but like the F1 league yes a slight tweak here and there would help I think........... of course I was beyond help from week one but nothing new there

Congratulations to the winner, Mark H, and also thanks to Salty for organising the competition again. I just scraped the Top 5, Van Persie did the business for me yesterday. The season has just flashed past - only Wednesday left. I'd better get my transfers sorted for the CL Final and best of luck to everyone else involved in this.

I think I will have to change my team to "Michael Ballack-the eternal second" - will end up 2cd on both the PL and CHL it seems :)

To be honest, if United win on Wednesday I don't care if I get last place, I'd be too happy to care

The third PL SupaLiga season is at an end, and the league has a new champion - mhku and his team Mucho Calor Huy.

mhku's season got off to a good start, ending August in 3rd. However, that early promise appeared to leave him in September, falling to his lowest position of 13th in the first week of October.

The fightback from Mucho Calor Huy was gradual. The Huys were just outside the top 5 for much of time up until Christmas week when they were back in the race - 2nd place on Christmas Day.

It was shortly after the turn of the year that kreacher and his Creatures team lost 1st place for the final time after having led the league for the vast majority of the winter months. The baton passed to RED United, managed by T_G's youngest son, but Mucho Calor Huy was now dug into 2nd.

The twist in the tale came in Gameweek 31, the first week of April. On that week, Red United fell to 3rd and T_G's Satellites RED went to the top, but the following week mhku finally went into 1st for the first time.

The battle was close for a time in April but, with exception of Gameweek 34, Mucho Calor Huy remained at the summit for the rest of the season. In the end, the Huys won the title with a 24pt advantage over Satellites RED.

The fight for the Champions League places has been extraordinary this season, with so many twists and turns that it would be barely believed! As it is, RED United were able to hold on comfortably to 3rd, while last season's runner-up Norm and Donkeytown survived the drama of the last day with only 1 point seperating him from kreacher at the start of the day to not only secure his CL qualification but jump into 4th, and in doing so condemning malcolm's Toontastic to finishing 5th for the second season in-a-row.

And finally...

Thanks for everyone for yet another exciting, exhilarating and excellent season of Fantasy Premier League football! Well done to everyone, whether you're the champion, in the top 5, or just had a great debut season in the league.

mhku and T_G - you will shortly be receiving your badges!

Look out for summer fantasy football! SupaLiga will be at the UEFA Under-21 European Championship, and maybe the FIFA Confederations Cup (if FIFA.com have a game for it!).

This season's UEFA Champions League finally arrived in Rome for the final, Barcelona versus Manchester United. After a good start by United, their early graft was undone by a goal from Samuel Eto'o on the 10th minute. The visibly shocked Red Devils were never able to regain their initial momentum, and Barca's victory was sealed with 20 minutes to go with a Lionel Messi header. FC Barcelona are the champions of Europe for a third time.

The destination of the UniSat Champions League crown was already well defined prior to the final. Donkeytown, managed by Norm, were leading T_G's Satellites RED by 26pts going into Wednesday so only a disaster would have denied them. Thankfully for Norm there were no heroics by T_G and the Scot is the inaugural UniSat Champions League winner.

I was able to guide my Dynamo team to 3rd (but have failed to qualify for next season!), thereby ensuring SupaLiga lock-out the top 3. Finishing 4th is AFPL's Rasta Boy.

Lol I completely forgot to change my team for the final - luckily my semifinal team consisted of mainly Barca and MU players. Well done Norm! So second in PL and second in CHL...

Any badges for this as well? :)

Better late than never..... congratulations to Mucho Calor Huy on winning the Supaliga and many thanks Salty for all your efforts yet again.
Having looked at the league I think I'm the only manager who's 'non fantasy' team has been relegated, maybe I might be allowed a name change next season, Toontastic just doesn't seem that fantastic anymore.......any printable suggestions?

Probably every suggestion is going to be of the "couldn't resist" variety so here goes - Doontoon!

The way it looks for your once great club "DoomToon" is more likely.

I am not a Newcastle fan, but it is a shame how this club was dragged down. The sad thing is, it wasn't even because of money, just poor poor decisions. That muppet Ashley drinking beer with the fans instead of managing a club, can't understand how he became a multimillionaire. Sacking Big Sam was the beginning of it, he should have stuck with him for longer. he would have overhauled the club's structure, and they would have not gone down. But...I just hope they won't do a Leeds or Manchester City a few years ago, going down another division or two.

My local team Blackburn Rovers are very grateful that he did, Big Sam went on to save them from the drop

My entry would have to be that classic Petula Clark hit

Downtoon :-doh!

I'm liking some of the suggestions but definately nothing makem related, I thought of a one after reading your posts.......Toondrastic !
Regarding big Sam you may be right but letting Keegan walk in my view was Ashleys biggest error, in the end the team/squad got what it deserved but it's hard for the fans to swallow.
On a positive Toontastic did qualify for Europe didn't they????

Toonsaster? The causes for Newcastle's drop are so varied and over such a wide expense of time that you could literally write several volumes of books on the subject! I think the trouble started the day Bobby Robson was forced out, the club never seemed to recover from that at any point. I've even heard from some pundits that the day Andy Cole was sold to United was when it went belly-up!!! Bit far I think, but what's clear for everyone to see is that there hasn't been that one person with their hands on the rudder making sure that a basic structure is maintained at the club, regardless of whose the owner at any given time.
