4 games down, 2 to go in the group stage, and the Winning Eleven have now opened up a sizable lead at the top. However, SupaLiga's Donkeytown now provide the closet opposition to the leaders, as they stay in 2nd ahead of falling Rasta Boys.

The AFPL have another team in top 5 now, msnaith's Long Dong Shorts moving up to 4th after a top scoring 44pts in Matchday 4. My Dynamo team had a terrible midweek, recording a net score of 16pts after transfers are deducted to drop to 6th.

The AFPL have retaken the top 2 spots, with Rasta Boys now in 2nd after a top performance in Matchday 5. However, the Winning Eleven's lead has been cut to 10pts, and Donkeytown are also closer to the leaders despite dropping to 3rd. SupaLiga champions MU Super RED's have fallen to 8th after scoring just 18pts, and Toontastic leapfrog them to 7th.

The bumper five Gameweeks of November have seen many up and downs for nearly everyone, but it was definitely more ups for manager of the month, tomthebomb1968.​

Tom's Badm******s were the only team this month to record two top scores - the 91pts in GW13 was this season's highest so far - and they now find themselves in the all-important top 5.​

However, while Badm******s moved up 6 places, the Tossers climbed 8 steps of the SupaLiga ladder. Topper is currently sitting in 13th.​

The Creatures have a 40pt lead over Scumdee, and Toontastic and RED United both move up a place at the top end.​

And finally, three of this season's Champions League managers find their teams bunched together - Norm, myself, and champion S_G are 15th, 16th and 17th respectively!​

The competitions goes into winter hibernation following the conclusion of the group stage, and the UniSat Champions League is delicately poised as AFPL champions Rasta Boys head the table only on transfers from Donkeytown. The leading two are tied on 265pts, 9pts more than falling Winning Eleven.

SupaLiga fought back this Matchday, as Satellites RED (T_G top scoring with 47pts this week) and Dynamo Sol both jump a place, and in doing so condemn msnaith's Long Dong Shorts to 6th going into the break. 1st to 6th is seperated by just 34pts.


UniSat Champions League 2009/2010

Following communication with sonic at Toecutter's Den, I am happy to report that the top 5 teams from this season's Den League will enter UCL 09/10. It is also confirmed that the top 5 from Satellite.co.uk PL SupaLiga will continue to qualify for the competition.

At this time, it is uncertain whether AFPL will continue participation on an singular invitational basis - official partnership with A*sat is henceforth terminated.

This season's UCL is unaffected by this news.​

The holiday season mini-competition comes back to give us an extra challenge during this busy time of the season.

For those who are new to the league this season, Christmas Crunch uses the points you score in PL SupaLiga, and winner is the team and manager with the best average score over the four Gameweeks of Christmas.

The following Gameweeks will be used to determined the winner of this season's Christmas Crunch:
GW18 - Man United are away in Japan, so there is one less game
GW19 - Boxing Day
GW20 - Last round of games in 2008
GW21 - First round of games in 2009, and an extra game in Man United v Wigan if neither have an FA Cup replay

If you have been particularly observant, or as sad as me, you'll notice that the annual Fantasy Cup will begin on Boxing Day. To find out details, go to 'Fantasy Cup' on the white panel on the left on the Fantasy Premier League page.

The five weeks of December saw no less than four managers taking 2nd spot for their teams, with Badm******s the current best challengers to Creatures.

However, manager of the month doesn't go to any of them. In fact Tom34 is MotM for December.

Tom's team, Rainbow Warriors, rise up the standings as been nothing short of magnificant, especially when you consider that as late as GW17 they were a lowly 21st!

What happened in the final week of the year to the Warriors is an absolute U-turn in the most stunning sense. Scoring 87pts in GW18, and then a SupaLiga season-best 99pts in GW19 to claim 10th, means Tom may well now feel confident of a Champions League place on this form and even a title challenge.

High (and low) scoring was seen across the league, with even Stesgs in 19th putting down a 3rd best in GW17. takeaguess' Athletica Booshank are up to a season-best 6th, equal on points with Toontastic. Malc's men fall out of the top 5 for the first time since October.

Last season's runners-up Donkeytown saw something of a revival. The Scottish team were 3rd best overall in December and are 49pts off Mucho Calor Hoy, whom are currently in 5th.
