Yes drat, gambled and lost, made a load of transfers out and banked on Crouch being played for the whole game, not just 16 minutes, as I'd made him captain given recent form. :-ohcrap

Satellites.co.uk PL SupaLiga - Final Standings
FINAL TABLE (Incorrect, see below)
(jpeg version can also be found attached)

Incredible final day not just in the Premiership, but also in our own SupaLiga, as the title went down to the wire as Norm and his Donkeytown team take the 06/07 Liga title! 8th at the end of October, the rise to the top on the last day sounded improbable, especially given that by the end of November the Screwballs had acquired a lead of 52pts over 2nd place Marinos.

But the Donkeys made steady progress, evidenced by claiming the 'Christmas Crunch' title in January. They continued to score highly from the turn of the year onward, moving up to 3rd by the fall of February, and when the top 2 had a poor March, they were 84pts away - still a substantial difference to make up, but evidently not impossible.

It was the final month that proved crucial though, and the poor end of season sealed Screwballs and Toontastic's fate. Norm - Check for PM to collect your Championship Pennant!

Attached is the 'Manager of the Month' award stats for May, of which Donkeytown also wins, but it is malcolm (Toontastic) who takes the PLSL Manager of the Year award for winning the most monthly awards - 3 in October, December, and April. Skant reward perhaps for losing the league on the last day, but recognition nonetheless.

I'd be pissed off if I was you, what happened?! You were going great up to Christmas, but you never seemed to pick up again after that. Still, not as bad as losing on the last day is it malc :p? I wondered, has anyone realised (other than me, obviously) that Norm is leading the F1 league as well?! I think his Abramovich in disguise :-rofl2

I made some bad and expensive transfer moves, then got some bad shakes with team selections, like today with ManU, only bringing on Scholes for the last 30 minutes, he was my team captain as well. :toke:

Yeah, I think it's swings and roundabouts to a certain extent, but to get it right today you had to have a bit of luck and a good team going in to it.

I think it's safe to say that if United had lost against Everton and the title had gone down to today, it could have turned out different in our league. But then again, Norm had guessed right that the league went the way it did and planned accordingly, so top marks to him :-worship
