I have decided to go with the old tried and trusted A/B switch method.

They seem pretty rare these days. I can’t actually find a UK stockist.

Amazon can get one in from Germany for £20 but that won’t arrive until after Xmas and there is a stockist in Ireland that have them. £16 delivered.

Cripes, you're right about availability - even eBay throws up no viable results.

I thought I had a spare lying around, but a quick search didn't unearth it, sadly.

Modifying a (cheap) 4/1 diseqc switch might be cheaper. ;-)

In case of a triple LNB, the 4KUHD-solution is also beautiful, and easy to apply to a switch: oplossing komb. monoblock/diseqC switch
Cutting through two copper-lanes near the PIN-diodes VD6 and VD7, and adding two bridges (at the F-connector, or at the other end of coils L2, L3 and L4, does not make much difference I'd say); not too difficult I would say.

Thankfully the internal layout of a diseqc switch is often pretty obvious. :)
