Triax 110 ..... No fixed location

Hello,

So I have been trying to setup my motorised Dish without any luck I have a needle meter and a small meter which only really displays video ( cheap Chinese type)

Now when moving I can get the needle up to a high signal input but then going through the TPS nothing appears

Please see the below
Location
51.81 , -2.73
Dish
TD110
Motor
Icecrypt dm200

Happy to share more photos just bugging me.

Have tried the USALS however without success.

Any ideas.

Best take imagery of dish font/back/sides.

Is the pole vertical ?

What particular channels/satellites are unavailable ?

Your about 38 degrees setting seems to be at the LATITUDE scale of the motor.
What happens when you set that at about 52 degrees?

(I'd set it at 52.4 degrees (better, modified angle), and use modified declination offset angle of 6.8 degree, so dish elevation scale at 28.2.)

Greetz,

Not really sure when it was a fixed dish I would happily lock onto hotbird and 22w and 30 w
Should of taken these photos when the dish was zero'd

52 seems very far out from what is in the book. I'm up for giving it a try but how comes ?

'I can get the needle up to a high signal'

But did you turn down the sensitivity and then re-tune it after that? My handheld receiver is quite weak tuning signals so the dish alignment needs to be accurate which is a nightmare with the TD110. That fence also looks pretty close for 22/30w

There are usually two scales, one either side of the motor. Find the one marked "Latitude" and set it to c.52. Ignore the other scale.

In fact, the other scale would be for "Elevation".
Elevation = 90 minus Latitude.

(But the modified angles, about 0.7 degrees different at your location, are better.)

Understood so the dish should then be set to 35 - 6.8 rather then 7

It seems to me that you have to set the engine angle to 51.8. It would be good if you could write us your geographic position.

The instruction booklet probably say set to around 28 ..... But that corresponds to he Motor's Elevation Scale as per @a33 Post.

Just set your Latitude (c52) on the Latitude scale and the Elevation scale will magically say 28!

My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC
My Location
Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
OK, from what I see in your photos, the dish mounting pole is not vertical, it musy be as true to vertical as possible North to South, East to West, that bubble in the level is touching to one side of the lines.

Now did you first align the dish and motor (motor at zero) to due South? If not then your going to be off the arc, this is important, I entered your location you posted in dishpointer, it came up with this info for alignment to DUE South. You can zoom in and look at the location close up, you can move the marker to where the dish is actually mounted, it will give you a line pointing to due South

Dish setup1.jpg

Once this is done you can set the dish/motor elevation on the dish to 30.7 degree, then move the motor to the closest satellite to due South from your location, this would be .8 W Thor7, the transponders on that satellite are all scrambled, but you should get a signal indication on TP12149 V. Once this is done you should not have any problems finding the satellites you want.
