Try eBay.

Cheers, found a local one on there. Their poles are only aluminium though, 48.3mm x 4mm.

Would that be strong enough, or should I really go for the stainless steel ones?

Alloy should be OK :)

Slightly off topic here

A bought a couple of lnbs off ebay. Is there any recommend way of testing them?

I was thinking of putting them on one of my spare dishes and just checking if I could get a signal on 28e using my sat meter. Would checking one sat and transponder be ok, or should I check a range of frequencies?

If you really want to test an LNB for function you'd check four transponders, for example:

vertical low - 10758V 22000 ITV London SD
vertical high - 12129V 27500 Yesterday
horizontal low - 10714H 22000 Channel 4 SD
horizontal high - 12382H 27500 Food Network

So a couple of the lnbs I have are 37mm.

Is there any multi lnb adapter designed specifically for 37mm lnbs?

Alternatively. If I were to use say a 3d printer, and print out two 3mm semi circles to thicken the neck to 40mm - do you think that would be stable?

Yes you can probably pad them out (3D print is an interesting idea!) to fit a 40mm holder.

However, the problem I’ve had when I tried that (I just used tape to fatten the neck), is that with the Sky LNBs I used, the 37mm bit of the neck is very short. Once the centre one is in the dish’s holder, there’s no room for the multi LNB bracket to slot round the tiny bit of 37mm neck left - the part of the neck further back is much thicker (thicker than 40mm too). Then to line up the other LNBs, the adapter has to fit round their necks at a similar point for them to sit far enough forward.

Whatever I tried on my Zone 2, I ended up reverting to cable ties for 13°E and 19°E with two sky LNBs after a short time. Now I’ve switched to three 40mm Inverto Ecos for 28.2E/19.2E/13E which work fine with the multi bracket and I have a lot less grief with things coming loose!

3mm thick would increase the diameter by 6mm, they'd need to be around 1.5mm thick. You could always glue then to the LNB or holder.

Have not seen any specific 37mm multi-LNB bracket. If you have a 3D printer you could make custom LNB holders to suit the SKY LNBs - though it's probably less hassle to source some cheap 40mm LNBs.

I assume you mean making the plastic holders and attaching it to a metal bar?

Cheers for that. I have a read a few times about sky lnbs having a short neck, I had always assumed people were talking about the diameter. I never realised until know it was about the length of the neck itself.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Build up the LNB neck to the required diameter with "duct tape" (preferably the outdoor type, but that won't be critical) - quick & cheap!

Edited: that's roughly what Adam792 said!

Yes. Thinking about it a design like RimaNTSS multi LNB bracket in this post would be the best way in include LNBs of different diameters:

I’m thinking of putting up one of my spare zone 1 dishes onto the front corner of the house. Do you think it would be possible to paint the dish so that it blends in with the brickwork?

Is there any special type of paint, or can I just use any non-metallic spray paint?
Pretty much anything non-metallic - I used Red Oxide primer + a Vauxhall or Ford "foliage" green in a zigzag pattern. You could even try patterned wallpaper and then seal the surface with some sort of clear sealant

There are many types of bricks out there.

Best thing is to spray the dish in something near the colour of the surround, then break up a piece of brick similar to what is behind the dish into powder, then throw the residual dust at the dish after giving it a coat of water based emulsion.

If I use the L bracket that comes with the zone 2 dish for the zone 1 dish, would 50mm M8 coach screws be ok?

sufficient if the dish is not in very exposed location
