Could it be the Eutelsat technicians?
I don’t know how these operations work, but when the transponder specifications change or the channels get mixed up on other transponders, the equipment in the terrestrial transmitter needs to be updated so a continuous broadcast is assured, no?
I have no idea why they keep tweaking those transponders on 5W when they have enough capacity on 9E.
I don’t like to see them go on 5W though!
I’ve read somewhere some time ago that the DTT in Italy is getting an upgrade to DVB-T2 and all the channels will become HD quality... maybe this is the reason of the tweaks?
but are it the Eutelsat technicians? Or is it the owner of the DTT network of Italy that is making the changes? Or both maybe?
Well that will solve a lot of capacity problems if they drop Italian SD transmissions on 5 west
