Made a bar for 1,2 Channel Master, it is fit to arc my antenna is tuned. Instead if ~45cm that 18' actuator is possible to provide it is only needed ~35cm. Also much easier for the mount to exit most-East and most-West positions.

In case of bad weather and also for experimental reasons erected 75mm ground stand in the garage IMG_20160427_161857 (Custom).jpg . Also made some progress with Ajak H-H motor: as it was missing lower part I am attaching new 100x100x5mm square pipe to the mount IMG_20160427_190643 (Custom).jpg . Made temporary fix with spacers and drilled the holes. Unfortunately I do not have(yet) lathe to make different needed parts, so just simple threaded 16mm rode is installed as an axis IMG_20160427_203825 (Custom).jpg IMG_20160427_203825 (Custom).jpg IMG_20160427_205144 (Custom).jpg . I expect some difficulties with worm-gear adjustments. 36V motor is checked, and it is working fine, quiet silent.

Yes, but but you could also mount the actuator arm to the right rather left (as you have it).
Squinting at your pics, it seems this would work about the same...

(i mean, I don't know, as I haven't put mine up yet - and I am thinking about such things as actuator orientations and sizes...!)

I have always installed actuator to the right side, this time I just wished to try something different and it works as well. But, in reality, as CJ says, there are almost nothing interesting in the West side of the arc, so it is better to have more precise installation on the East side.

...unless you speak Spanish and have a C-band LNB... ;)

Yes, have C-band LNB and do not speak any Spanish, but still 30*W is my far-most-West satellite, which is easy reachable.

Made an axis for Ajak, that will work for elevation adjustments IMG_20160427_203836 (Custom).jpg . Yes, made by me on my lathe (my first ever made useful thing on lathe). It is 16,3mm in diameter and has 10mm inside thread at both ends.

Payed some attention to Ajak today (it is actually not possible to go into garage without running to Ajak as it stays on the pole right in the middle of the garage o_O ). Installed new (made by me) axis (circled green). ScreenHunter_720 May. 10 22.44.jpg
For elevation rod fixing will use something similar like it is done on Prodelin mount P1270959 (Custom).JPG
Another issue (which can transfer to a problem) is worm-gear adjustment mechanism. This motor simply does not have one. I think I will be making such a mechanism, that should allow to very precisely adjust the worm. IMG_20160510_220118 (Custom).jpg

OK, this may be not directly connected to satellite, but idea can be used for dish mounting on the ground. Something like this I will do when/if I install really big dish, only all the dimensions will be bigger.
So, what I did today: Went shopping and bought 2000 x 200mm plastic pipe and some cement. Then cut lots of rusty angles in length of 1 meter. Arc-welded metal to make 4 frames. Cut plastic pipe to 4 x 50cm pieces. Dug in the ground 4 x 200 x 1000mm holes. Inserted metal frames and plastic tubes in the holes. Filled holes with cement. Will let it harden for couple of days. It is about 60kg of concrete in each hole. Afterward will weld metal vertical tubes to each platform. Can somebody guess what will be mounted on top of this construction? Not the satellite dish this time :D

Not yet o_O. This time it is only about water tank to use it as summer-shower, and as small storage room for winter. :-rofl2 Old base for water tank was made long time ago, when I just dug holes and put wooden logs inside, now logs starter to rot and I do not want tank squeeze me, especially when I am naked. :-lol But, to keep this thread sat-related, will probably install some small antenna on the side of the tank, just for fun .
