I had some left-overs of 60x60x2mm pipes from the time I've build fence around the property. Left-overs were just enough to make the frame for the water tank. Frame is 1000x1000x2120mm. Already painted (not blue this time :D )

As I have said earlier, principle of the water-tank installation is same as for antenna install, only the scale is different. Back to sat issues.... I will be doing 4,6m antenna installation this summer. And there is sketch of the ground platform. Idea is to dig 4 1000x1000x1000mm holes 1,5meters apart from each other (golden color). On top of those blocks to build metal frame out of 100x100mm (wall thickness 5-8mm) square pipes (gray). In the middle of this frame to install Andrew stand (green). In the future (in year or two), if I feel the need, will lift this platform ~3meters up (just to have better arc). So, before I go digging, appreciate some views on how to do it better :)
Add: To prevent usual question: This is not going to be Billiard table :-lol

Made a grid (looks like archeologists are looking for some treasure :-rofl2 ). Where red X will be cubes of cement. But still need to find laser lever to make threads horizontal.

From what I´ve seen on this and other threads, you appear to be a very resourceful chap who can make something from nothing, or " acquire " something to do the job!

Now I know you are all going to think I´m mad, but, I´ll say it anyway!

Any local car mechanic workshops closing down? Hydraulic car repair ramp would be ideal for you to be able to elevate the dish at a later date as may be required.

Just a thought!

It is not necessary to be resourceful to be able to make something from nothing ;) Car-repair business will always exists as # of cars is growing, so, I doubt it is easy to get ramp from them. But, good idea BTW.

Here in Spain, also in the UK, garages close on a regular basis and the equipment is often sold for " peanuts " or scrap metal value.
I´d get you one, but the postage..........

I think I have passed "no-return point" by starting digging  Now only two ways possible: I succeed or I fail o_O
I've changed my mind again.... will stick to producer's recommendation and will make one block of concrete (instead of 4). In my case that will be 3500 x3500 x 330mm , means about 10 tons of weight. Of course, some metal reinforcement will be made inside the block.

So, was doing some digging and dirt relocation today. Hole is made. Will need to make wooden frame around the hole to make concrete block look nice. Luckily, I will not be mixing concrete by hands :), needed amount is too big.

Do you gonna use a pole in the midde or a few threaded rods ?
If a pole , I suggest to make a deeper section in the middle .

I will make completely flat surface of the concrete block and then will drill 8 holes for anchor-bolts.

Aint it better to make a (wooden) copy of that foot plate with bended threaded rods and put them at the correct place before to fill the concrete ?

This is how I built it for the Scientific Atlanta (re used for the cm3.10m).

Example for a 6.2m in NZ.
