Picked up some INOX pipe clips (40mm and 63,5mm). IMG_20160915_120013 (Custom).jpg Quite expensive stuff:eek:, but I need it. Also looked for some actuators, found this one for ~70 EUR IMG_20160915_105849 (Custom).jpg IMG_20160915_105903 (Custom).jpg . Did not buy it, but at least I know it is always available. Will probably need it for 1,2m dish.

Remember, some time ago I've made very useful tool for tightening of F-connectors? Couple of friends asked me to made same for them. So, I got 10 x 7/16 sockets, will also look for proper screwdrivers. I think that such a tool will cost 10-13EUR (including shipping). If anybody else is interested, let me know?

OK, you are in @Captain Jack , but do not expect it very fast..... I've found out that sockets are hardened, and it is not possible to drill a hole inside or make them thinner on the lathe. First I should find the oven to unharden them

I used to use one of these.
It's EUR 5 from hm-sat-shop.
Now I use compression connectors, they don't seem to need the tool as much.

I see, you mean one like THIS , seems to be a good one. I am not insisting on mine design (besides, I think I've seen same @Trust1 was using).

While I am looking for possibilities to unharden sockets (oven is needed), re-shaped the handle of the screwdriver (already broke one) and screwed female-to female connector to one end. Female end can help to work with F-connectors.

Friday's quiz.
If somebody answer it completely right, he/she gets tool for F-connectors free (including shipping). Picture of the tool is in my post # 1028 in this thread.
The question is: What the heck is this? I mean, for what I am going to use this LNB? For what antenna, to be more precise?
Hint- there is no another LNB like this in the world.

Add: Only first, right answer is counted.

Listen mate, we love your projects, and all the other side projects you come up with. Waiting for the invite for the first brew!
However, what you get up to in your own time, with your special lnb is for you and you alone! ( You don´t have to share everything with the forum ) ;)

For competition I will accept only correct and complete answer. By now, I do not see one.
Will try to describe the question:
- What is exact name of this LNB?
- for which antenna I am going to use it?
- What is the illumination angle of this LNB?

It's for the 4.5, fitted at the base of the wave guide that came with the dish originally.
The opening angle is irrelevant (or 0, depending on how you see it), as the LNB feedhorn (or what's left of it) fits exactly inside the waveguide.
