I could not find any Inverto Ultra Black Quads in the shops :( . But, anyway, I need LNBF for PFA to be installed in front of the sub-reflector.
Bought this Quad IMG_20180918_122724 (Large).jpg to finish my setup.
Finished setup and wiring of all dishes (well, almost all, except Cm .35). This setup BildeAntenas.jpg will stay till next summer unless I decide to quickly add 1-2 dishes . All wiring is done according to this diagram Savienojumi.jpg

I, personally do not like multifeeds on offset dishes, they steal signal :) But friend of mine asked to make one for him. I've made it more or less universal so it can be installed on any antenna.

No, not yet  However, I've found the company who can do the coating and not so expensive. But then I thought ..... do I really need this antenna for watching TV?! Perhaps no, so it could stay in the state it was made :)

Hi All! Perhaps some of you have Prodelin antennas in use and you know that original Prodelin feedhorn is not very friendly to connect to common LBNs (perhaps to any LNBs), in fact you will need some kind if expensive adapter. So I would like to share pretty easy way how to marry any LNB to Prodelin feedhorn. First of all you need to find piece ~10mm aluminum and, make it 45mm round and cut 20mm hole in it. Then drill and tap 6x 4mm holes to match holes in the feedhorn. Then you cut the feedhorn from any LNB you choose and make sure the adapter goes on top of the rest of feed of the LNB. Make sure that connection between LNB and adapter is sealed to prevent moisture coming in.
I had several Prodelin dishes and couple of original feedhorns, also used in the same way adopted LNB, and results were quite OK.
I've made this adapter for Prodelin feedhorn, and anybody from this forum is interested can get it. First come first served. For price of shipping you will get all you see on attached pictures except the cover of the LNB ( I broke it and garbaged it).
If you will need also LNB holder (picture #5), it will cost you some money though. as INOX clamp costs some bucks.
Anyway, this is just a thought of mine about Prodelin feedhorn.

I see there are several « other »mouting holes in your adapter.

I have several prodelin feedhorns that I want to try with C120 flange LNBs.

Could your adapter be used for this ?

@stephenG No, I do not think so. I've made it not to be connected flange-to-flange but to be adopted on almost any Universal Ku-band LNBF. To do this adaptation you still need to have some work to do, such as cutting and polishing of remainings of the LNBF.

@RimaNTSS
I have two Prodelin feedhorns which I would like to try with some LNBs.

It sounds like your adapter would do this, so I would be interested in one, please.

thanks

Many moons ago I've got .9m petalized plastic antenna. It was made in Norway more than 20 years ago, weights less than 4kg and originally used for microwave link. Howeve I have never installed it :( And now it is time for antenna to go away to another happy user, he wants to have portable system to use it for voice&digital comms through satellite. Of course, he also needed to adopt this dish to be able to hold the dual-band feed and also to have some kind of mount. So, I've made extendable feedarms with connection bits. He was asking for star-holder for LNB-neck up to 60mm, which I already had on the shelf. He said he needs the simple mount.... I could not do it simple though.
Now all parts are ready for packing&shipping, they can fit in the box 50x50x20cm ..... I like this portability! I just hope this antenna will work as good as it look like.

Folks! Look what I've got today: brand new Variosat positioner. It came in original boxing. Battary is completely leaked out as it is made in W.Germany (means 1989 or earlier). Very interesting 30y.o. piece of equipment.
Somebody in Germany was selling old stock of such a positioners, bet he was not sending them abroad. So I got help from colleague of German SAT-forum. He bought and shipped it to me.

Installed another dish. It is 208cm in diameter (physical size, as working area is not so important in this way of install). Geometry is not perfect, that will improve after installation of 2 rings on the edge. There is ~600 kilos of concrete in the ground.... should be enough to withstand wind and snow load.
