There is an article in the paper today saying that it is getting hard to find an Hedghog these days.
We have one it goes between the fences to nextdoor and back two or three times a night. On his way back on this clip.We also had a fox not seen him since a cat chased him though.Of ip cam

What is it?

Not the best image I know, but if I opened the doors it would fly off.

Distinguishing feature is the brown head (with a black mohican on top)Bird.jpeg

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
A shrew,
There are loads about here in my Garden & the Woods behind me our local cat "Jaffa" in the last 2 weeks has killed about 10 baby & adult shrews.
Last year we had a relative plague of RATS, but apparently very few this year (neighbours' cats got quite a few, as did the road traffic!) as urban foxes appear to have set up a den in almost the same place as the rats previously did, and seem to have nearly eliminated the rats!
Rats v Foxes? - I can live with the former (we get quite a few holes in the flower beds, but those are "less of an issue"!), but the cats may feel differently as the foxes certainly can pose problems to them (as at least one of our's - now sadly deceased - nearly found out until SWMBO scared it away!)

No, it's an Orb Weaver by the look of it. False Widows have hairless legs, are darker and to my knowledge don't weave that type of structured web.
