Oh Woodpigeons, we are so overrun with them, they scare all the younger and smaller birds off the feeders, they're such a nuisance.

Update on my swallows: They got bigger and there is almost not enough place in the nest. I am afraid of moment when they start to jump out.

Ive just been over the fields to the canal near me,woodpigeons predominate with the odd reed bunting about although i didnt manage to get 1 pic. I moved my bird see tray down my feed pole because when it was higher the pigeons would sit in it and take seed out of the bottom hole on the feeders. Crafty little sods but when i try to attract the coal tits and redpolls they wont come near with those fat birds around.

Fewer Birds in our Garden as we stopped putting feeders out a few weeks ago, but we've still had Spotted Flycatchers and a Willow Warbler around in recent days. They're finding plenty of food for themselves now that everything is catching up growth and weather-wise.

At my age, such things assume less importance.

But seriously i get normal insect feed although the coal tits insist on going for the black and white sunflower seeds and pecking the life out of them to get to the kernel inside....
