I put out some old yard sale signs, all it has to do is turn left at the last one, it will miss the planet by a few miles.

First images are due early Wednesday morning, the remainder will trickle in over the next few months (that is if the probe doesn't catch a wayward yard sale sign on its way through the system).

An indication of just how fast this flyby is.

JPL has an app for this, not a bad one at that.

App= Application.

And that was about as exciting as sitting out in the field watching the weeds grow, I thought they would at least post some live video feeds but with a 4 hour 25 min delay I could not stay awake long enough, so let the DVRF do it's job, now I can fast forward through it.

Live video feed? They are saying it will 16 months to transfer all the data that it will have collected during its flyby!

Yah, there is no DSL connection, and they didn't have a fiber cable that long, also the radio transmitter does not have a lot of bandwidth at that distance, about 2000 bit's per second, and that is dropping as it gets further away.

Info on this can be found here.

Plus we are using the biggest radio telescopes on the planet to pick this stuff up, but after 3 + billion miles the signal is a bit weak.

See the heart shaped outline, at the top just below where the heart dips down to a point, that little black dot is the satellite dish I just put up.........:-rofl2
