Thanks guys, well it's Martin on the keyboard at the moment. Well, the Coolstream Neo is working fine for us. I've been weighing up the differences between the Neo and Vu+ Duo and I think I'm more inclined to like the Neo..it's more stable (and cheaper!).

Howdy folks,

Just seeing what’s going on, on the other side of the big pond, I’m a retired RF engineer from the TV, cable and satellite industry and just looking around the web to see where I can stick my head in and help out to keep the cabin fever from setting in, I’m an admin on a OTA TV web site (over the air) and a super mod on 2 other sites, one for American satellite TV the other on HDTV, so I hope to help or just read the mail.

It's a pity that the horizon gets in the way of our viewing each other's satellites but at least we can talk about things!

Welcome.

Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome,

Back in the old analog days (some time in the last millennium) I use to watch BBC TV when I lived in North Dakota, I used a 4 gang log periodic setup for 30 to 400 MHz, fed the signal into a PAL capable TV, it was different TV then what we got here, and fun to DX.

Too bad the digital dosent travle as good as the old stuff did.

:-Welcome1 to the site Terryl, must have been a rare opening to catch our VHF signals where you are. Never pulled anything in myself from across the pond except NY taxi chat (around 30MHz I believe) :-rofl2

Hi Everyone!

Well...how have I missed this site after all years? I'm here now anyway :D

OK, well I have fiddled with satellite tv for years and have an interest at the moment of getting the Free to view swedish channels (SVT1 etc). I am shooting off out now, but will post all my questions in the relevent sections tomorrow. Just wanted to say hello!

Cheers,

LastNinja.

Well "Hello" yourself - and welcome!

We've never had a Ninja before, let alone the last of that ilk.
