what extra equipment do you need for CBAND - can you do both Cband and KU band on same system? or do u need 2 setups - one for KU and one for C ?
Options:
1. Attach a C-Band LNB alongside a Ku-Band LNB on the same dish.
2. Fit a "Trust Multi Band LNB Rotator" to the dish (offset dishes)
3. Separate dish for C-Band.
Basically, you need a C-Band LNB on a dish of sufficient size to receive the signals.
For the receiver, all you do is edit the LNB configuration to C-Band, generally with L.O. of 5150 MHz.
Any auld junk receiver should do the job provided it has the option to set the LNB L.O.
For upper C-Band frequencies beyond 4200MHz you need an LNB that can cope with that range, generally these have a higher L.O.
To get decent reception at a UK location from a range of satellites I would think a 1.8m dish is your starting point.
You can get C-Band on smaller dishes but you will be missing a lot of frequencies.
