I want to know what the difference is between all these boxes! I really want the Edision as the remote is 100x better.

I'm assuming there's little point in trying to drive a motor with the fag packet, but my Skybox F3s have LNB out and are manful enough to act as a Positioner.

With boost buck converters (Which this will have) it will be fine, I can drive my dish from my TBS 5520SE over usb.

I still haven't hit order, I'm trying to find out more info.
The remote looks awful though.

I want clarification about this DVB-S2X thing. I highly doubt it is...

The Octagon one is like Original Skybox F3, the Edision one is like Skybox F3S.
Probably all made in the same factory.

Ah, looked more closely. Only marginally similar.

Quite different, in fact.

Edision one is Universal too and can operate the TV if you like that sort of thing, I'd say the Edision looks a nicer box and nicer remote.
Also doesn't have wires coming out from every side!

Too much choice, all of a sudden.

I'll probably go for the cheapest because

a. I'm a Yorkshireman

and

b. We don't know how long we'll be able to get Multistream when the birds get cleverer.

Not true in my experience with the "fag packet" Free Sat V7 HD as it drives the Superior Dark Motor under the TD110 very well for quite a prolonged period - although it does get a little warm at times, so you have to make sure there's nothing sat on top of it to block the ventilation. Thus, this Octagon should have a "fighting chance" of doing the same:cool:.

How are you getting on with the V7 HD, still working well?

TBH, don't think I've used the sat systems much in the last month or so (lot's of other "things" on the go at home :() but it was working fine the last time I used the Free Sat.

Hallo

Please be carrefull
Do not write wrong things:
it does not DVB-S2X. !!!
if I did not write it in the description it is that it does not do it.
No, it is not HEVC (H265)

Stephan, the spec. shown on the supplier website did say S2X, albeit Octagon have confirmed that is not the case and the error now appears to have been corrected :)
