Hello

to store all positions in Disecq 1. 2 must be put every time
a cross on each satellite that stores.
since version 1. 04. 27 it works perfectly

ps:for now it is best not to use DreamBoxEdit, this causes errors in the frequencies.

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I have reverted back to software that worked. Would it be possible to post an EU satellite database that works with you to see if this is the problem? I would be able to set it as the default database.

The new software imported my existing satellite and channel database but not stored position numbers unfortunately.

IT must not import the database from the old SW

The new software seems to have changed the way Diseqc 1.2 positions are stored. Each diseqc 1.2 position has to be stored as shown in the screencap. Position 1 will be stored first, Position 2 will be stored second. Position 3 will be stored third...ETC.

It does not matter what number the satellite is in the satellite list. the first diseqc 1.2 position stored will be Diseqc position 1. It is important to save each diseqc position as shown in the screencap. (See link. Cannot attach.)

If you change a satellite's motor control to None after assigning a diseqc 1.2 position to that satellite, then whatever position number that satellite had will be deleted and reused by the receiver. Setting the diseqc 1.2 of a satellite to off after assigning a position to that satellite may change all or part of your diseqc 1.2 numbering!

I have 24 diseqc 1.2 positions entered and tracking correctly using the 10429 software. It is a great headache to set up. I hope it is fixed so we can use or assign the diseqc 1.2 numbers that we need instead of what the receiver wants us to have.

I set to factory default. The screens are now in German but I still have my own satellite and channel database.
I reboot the receiver to see if the default channel database will appear including pulling the plug in case that works but, on reboot, my channel list is still there.
My question is how can I get to the default database?

Ok, finally cracked it. I had to go to a previous software which had the option of removing the default database and then reinstalled the latest firmware and factory defaulted. I was taken into a new setup screen and I now have a world wide database of channels. Choosing the satellite with a tick and changing the motor to a 1.2 one now allows me to allocate to position 01. Repeating this process with the next satellite saves to position 02 etc.
Now starting on the long road to rebuilding my channel database!

Looks like the SX88 added a couple more entries in the satellites.xml file. I do not remember seeing the mts or plsN entries before this last update.

I am sticking with SW version 1.04.18 every thing works just fine in USALS DiSEqC 1.3
With my channel list compiled manually 53 east to 30 west in sequence.

- record both audio pid if dual audio;
- record Subs on teletext....
....... complete TS.....

On the new SW version for SX88 ... can subtitles be made on French channels ?
Subtitling (just like sound) goes only to FRANCE 3.
These two problems (sound and subtitling) are the main problems missing at sx88 ... on some German and French forums, the same topics are also discussed.
There is always an example of another receiver that has both sound and translation, meaningless for SX88 owners ...
It also repeats itself infinitely, as some rights have to be paid for the sound to be implemented on French TV channels.
For the moment, the two main shortcomings are expected to be implemented ...

A feature I found accidently in the 1.2 positioner menu: highlight the transponder and press enter. This will change the transponder to the one which was tuned to when you entered the menu. It makes fine tuning of the satellite position just that little quicker.

Any more hints, anyone?

Today I mounted my KaKu LNB, and tried.
The SX88 leaves a good impression
Already one has to say:
with Blindscan are only 3 frequencies 21545; 21571 and 21576 the others have a too small SR.
Otherwise with input he has two frequencies that can not be implemented in spite of signal not in program 21542 (Eden TV) and 21564 (Burkina Info), why, no idea. Otherwise he can quite well distinguish both very close program on 21538 and 21539.

the frequency 21567H 1010 with QTV Gambia is just under the link margin, so unfortunately not to get.
