Indeed. have been following this discussion and am impressed by the excellent work and dedication of the Octagon people. Would have bought one immediately if the french audio was there, but still may buy one for all the other good capabilities.

Storage that is USB Disk 0 (zero) device
PVR Settings ...
Timeshift function ..... disable
Reaming storage ...... USB1
Playback ...... Continuing
Autoplay .... Disable
To search for recordings, use Record file browser, you can safely configure the F1 to F4 keys.
Being above the recording, press 2 times ok
If you press play / pause, if everything is ok, you will see that it stops and when giving play / pause, it continues those seconds of difference.

PSow I look at those satellites with low SR, Hispasat is what happens.
PD: Ahora miro en esos satelites con SR bajos, en Hispasat es lo que pasa.

So sad this receiver has not and user friendly option, like Openbox SX6 with AirTivi+, to make snapshots on PC. How looks web interface, is maybe possible to add something similar to SX6 with possibility to watch channels and feeds, and especially 4:2:2, on PC directly, and make snapshots, what do you think, and everyone? One other thing (sorry) - I'll try to explain this as clearly as possible. When you use this box with a motorised dish and you enter the menu to scan a specific satellite, does the dish move as you move through the list of satellites? You'd be surprised how many boxes I've had whereby the software is written so poorly that when USALS is enabled, the motor will move to the satellite that the remote is hovered over - an absolute nightmare if the remote has 52E highlighted in the menu and you want to go to 22W to do a blind scan (which is right at the bottom of the list), the dish will move to every satellite that sit between 52E & 22W in the list before it reaches 22W - the most recent box I've tried which does this is the Freesat V7.

I`m so sad to agree with this problems and because this I`m using still FOR YEARS analogue DVB-S Opticum 7100C for moving diseqc 1.2 motorised dish, because my dish is on top of the building and out of my visibility and I can`t risk to move dish "blind" and damage, but what will be if all DVB-S channels gone.....Someone know DVB-S2 receiver for feedhunting with 100% reliable positioner for diseqc 1,2 motor? Must have LNB OUT (LOOP), for my TBS card. And I do not want to use USALS, only positioner. On top are sometime strong wind attacks.....I have Openbox SX6 now, and thus ordered this Octagon SX88, but still not tried and "risk" to move motor with them.....Sometime happened with other receivers to damage dish and motor to wall when I unfortunately trusted their "reliability", that is nightmare.....

I had the advantage as a beta tester to have the last SW the day before the official release.
Octagon had no time to go out that evening, asked me to put it in the forums that I knew
if you have a problem with zippyshare tell me for the future by what means you wish, if the event
recurs.

PS :the problem with the KA band is already known and engineers seek to resolve it quickly.

Can you please ask engineers to add more info about received signals, for the first is in DVB-S or DVB-S2, QPSK or 8PSK,...?

With Lyngsat there is nothing showing on that frequency. Anyone else had any luck with the Octagon SX88 on this frequency?

Bravo for Octagon for avoiding a hidden menu and big respect! But I think HDMI setting need to be added in menu, no problems with it I mean.
Also I hope is not possible to add biss keys to watch encrypted feeds which I ignore always principally with only love for free transmissions without keys...

I would like to help, no lock, because I`m almost out of the beam, but, TBS card can see something here:
SNR: 1,3-1,6 dB
Level: 5-6 %
Sorry about SX88, I can not now turn on this receiver for first time, maybe this weekend..., still waiting my will and patience.....Primary problem is how to make pictures from screen, I`m always so lazy to do this with some camera and upload in that not user friendly way.....Because that SX6 still is not retired and this SX88 I bought only for test because his good price ...

So easy to miss one of these if you away from the PC for a while as I was on holiday

Really this is important, I have it on Openbox SX6 and satisfied, I hope it will be soon on Octagon SX88 too, sure with AirTivi+ like to Octagon SF1008SE+ from #400! I hate use usb sticks......

AirTiwi has been developed to the receptors for manufacturing Fortis (Octagon SF 1xx8 and also Openbox Sx)
the SX88 to another origin, therefore incompatible because they are two different makes.
For Multistream on 21.5 East, the only person I know in Europe that managed to receive live in Greece.
For those further north, it takes a 'Big antenna'.
Running with Usals a antenna is no problem.
move an antenna with DiSEcq 1. 2 is possible from the SW 1. 04 27, but do not forget each time
that you memorize the position of a satellite put a cross in front of his name.

Sx88 Can easily get 21,5 East multistream, but from Northern Italy You Need at least 150 cm of dish.
