I use an SX88+ and ever since version 1.05.52 where 27.5W was added I haven't been able to scan 11346H at 10E AFP. So I have decided to stay on 1.05.50 which works fine.

Same sort of problem here with the 27.5W on the SX88+_Optima went back to 1.05.50 as NHL did not work on 22 west with the latest patch.

Working fine here on the SX88's neglected cousin, the Edision Primo. Are you sure it's not the weather, 12732V is a harder catch that the Italians.

Have you tried changing the symbolrate to 29000? Or are you sure the symbolrate in your receiver is 29500? I’ve seen some complaints and eventually the symbolrate was wrong. Can’t recall wether it was 29000 or 29500 that did the trick…

The answer is ------ dish needs alignment!

The signals are a bit weaker and rain wipes them out and pixelated when its clear - so I need to fiddle with the dish.

Its on the roof - so wait for nice weather.

No answer from Octagon - I suppose I have to return the SX88+ as I cant watch HD channels on it. Shame as its good on SD

Been using the SX88+, and the earlier SX88, for several years, but I never noticed that issue to any extent.

Therefore please describe your setup, - notably the models of the connected TV(s) &/or AV receiver(s) you were using with it as the sound sync settings on those might have been the source of the problems.

Good afternoon, openvpn is not working. we put the user and the pass, we press the red button to connect, and is always off. I entered the box by ftp and there is no openvpn installed. in the "local" folder there is only the file with the user and pass, there is nothing else to talk about vpn. Is there something I'm missing?

Just beginning to delve into the GT Media Combo, but, "in passing", it occurred to me that we haven't heard much/anything from Octagon in the way of f/w updates & so on the 88/89 (etc.) series boxes.

I will using my SX88+ for quite a time yet until I learn enough about the Combo (the first Android Rx I've had) and so I'm wondering if there seems likely to be any more "stuff" for the 88 etc series in the piepline??

Anyone have any "ideas"??

Has anyone else noticed that Octagon appear to have ceased posting info here on new firmware for (at least) this receiver?

TBH, I haven't used it much at all over the last few months as we've had a lot of other issues to deal with, but, just now, I fired it up and checked the f/w situation - and found that an update got released about a month ago, and which I have thus just loaded on 88+!

I suspect that all the "enthusiasm" for the GTMedia Combo has led to this and related Octagons being overlooked!

BTW: I never managed to get the hang of the Combo - just "too much" to learn at a time when other things were/are more important to us.

I loaded up the Open8 firmare direct from the Octagon website a fortnight ago as I was getting fed up with the combo video lag.

Quite impressed with it so far, though I only put the 4008 back on the shelf at the beginning of the week.
