Well, finally I have had my dish installed and my card registered, so I am able to watch Czech telly. I have zone2 minidsh pointed to 19.2 and UPC subscription. So I want to thank everyone who was willing to answer my newbie questions.

Well now, only if I could get the dish on a motor…

Heres the latest version of my dish arrangement. Left to right

1m on 16E. This one was new.
(on the tyre) 80 cm on 19E (donated from a lad I work with)
80cm on 13E (came out of the local woods and had been badly bent)
80cm on 5E (donated - had been jumped on by some kids....)

And heres my new toy - a BSB 35cm minidish picked up for a fiver from ebay:D

LNB seems to be 10770 MHz which causes problems with receivers these days...... I managed to get one of the French 5W analogue services on this ancient heap this afternoon, although on a bitterley cold March day it wasnt long before I was driven inside again.

Yes it is a greenhouse. It belongs to my other half. She has the green thumbs and puts her seedlings in there for the slugs to eat every year :D

Planning on going motorised - probably the big dish this summer. Ive got the motor - just need a warm weekend now to get it set up.

I get some funny looks from the neighbours, but dont really care. They used to be sheilded from view to some degree by dense roses, but next door cut them down last summer...

Note there isnt a decent permanent mount to be seen - 2 sets of fence posts, a tyre, and an old metal post borrowed from the local allotment which has been banged into the ground a couple of feet with my sledge hammer!

nice one, it wouldn't bother me if i was a neighbour of yours not like its a massive 1.8metre or something

you could get a long scaffold pole and mount all the dishes on that ?

Yeah - the 19E dish falls over :-lmao :-lmao

It occasionally blows the others out of alignment, but 2 minutes pulling on the dishes normally has them back on beam

Click on the Advanced button below the answer box. Then click on the manage attachments button. There are size limits on picture files, (for dial up& slow braodband users) so if the file wont upload, you may need to reduce the size a bit. The size limits are viible in the ipload box.
