djsimo said:Just to add the pictures of my new dish, after I had to take the 1.3m one down due to a complaint as mentioned in my other thread.
So here is the picture of my Gibertini 1m dish on an Als*t Dark Motor, it is pointing @ Hispasat 30oW in the pictures.
Robbo said:Yes, I'm sure a bit of spray paint will make the dish TOTALLY disappear into the surroundings.
Yes , garden's a bit of a mess Bob, so my wife tells me.
Unfortunately, that little house, really is my workshop.
coloured pony said:What is the wind like from the West, does your home defend the dish,
I must say neat and tidy, Bristol fashion, well done.
Bob
djsimo said:If it is too windy ie gale force, i leave it facing Hispasat, so it doesnt get battered, apart from that no probs with the wind.
coloured pony said:Interesting, I can not do that, as 30W would face the west and aim
the dish at the gale, i leave mine on 28e so its, well half and half, mines in the garden, must do a pic. Also who complained about your big dish
neighbours?
Bob
djsimo said:Not sure could of been the local nosey parker across the way, but a "to let" sign went up next door just after, so could have been the letting agents.
Either way I still have a dish up just slightly smaller.
coloured pony said:.........A few Sly reps have been known to travel around and complain...........
coloured pony said:Either way, if you had a statutory notice served, that is remove it
in 28 days, or then apply for permission in retrospect, you have an
absolute right to see who complained, the complaint must be in writing
and the Council would tell the complainant that you would have the right to see the letter. This is to stop mischief making.
If it was just a visit and a word in the ear from the Council, then the
Council official will have just brought it to your attention, Anyhows in planning law the Council Official should have given you the option,
djsimo said:I didnt know that you could ask who complained, It was a 28 day notice to remove the dish, and they stated that I could apply for planning permission but they doubt it would be succesful.:-Nooo
I have attached a copy of the letter but edited out my details for obvious reasons;)
Just to add all the dishes round here seem to be under 1m, but one house not far away has four Viasat dishes on the front.
