Now how can I trick my Mutant to tune 10,490 - 10,500MHz using the LO LNB settings and translating the frequency...

Lets see - it needs to tune lower doesnt it - so a custom LO setting of 9500 instead of 9750 would allow it to go down to 10500 instead of 10750

That might just work. The LNB is pulling signals in strongly. Worth a go when the beacon is back up.

You probably want to knock it down another hundred or so LO of say 9400.

Let us know how you get on as I want to set an lnb up for this once Ive finished tinkering with the Eumetsat stuff.

The narrow band for kgstv is a hair lower -around 10489. You can see current active frequencies here

Yes the websdr is very useful. Looks like the beacon is back up today, you will see the low SR transmissions in the Simplex portion and the really low SR in the reduced bandwidth section.

True AS, but you'll simply receive the same TP's as before, but numbered 500 MHz lower. So 10500 is really 10750 (on 10E 10747V, the nearest TP).

Best to use a frequency converter to pull 10500 up to within the receiver's IF range. A SUP-2400 converter works fine once modded. Plenty available fairly cheaply online, mostly from the US though.

The BIAS T is part of that PSU.

It was an old Wolsey masthead PSU, I modified it for Satellite LNB power use, a BIAS T might be a cheaper option if you don't have one, was just something I had hanging around here.

I might get one of those at some point as i've just ordered another LNB, an Octagon Quad PLL and want a feed to my RSP1A and Minitouner.
I'll keep the homemade one for portable DATV/ATV use.

This one I went for extra 2 outputs for the same price and next day delivery for me.

The one I'm currently using is a Goobay and works well, but I don't think it's easy to get the PLL version any more
