I've dugout my 2 projects for resurrection
1 A tower case - unfortunatel only suitable for AT motherboards so I believe the 500MHz Pentium 3 already fitted is the max I can do with it. IIRC already kitted out with SCSi card running 1 HDD, MO disk drive (very early so probably 128MB max) and a DDS drive (again early so probably only DDS1 or 2 max). DVD dfive ( I believe read oonly), 3.5 floppy, 5.25 floppy plus 2 IDE HDDs.
It has 5 5.25 external drive bays, one of which is empty at present but I used to alternate a DVD/CD drive and a 3.5" IDE drive caddy.
2 A "portable" mini tower - an unusual design that I really like with a built in carrying handle, only has 2 external 5.25 drive bays though. At present fitted with a 1GHz Pentium 4 IIRC although IIRC I have a PC with fitted 1600 MHz AMD procesor somewhere to transplant mobo.
I already have install disks (floppy and CD) for DOS 3, 4,5 & 6, GEM, Win 3, 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT4, XP, Vista, 7, 8.1 and keys for all of those that require one, not forgetting Linux and OS2 if I can find them all.
I have a couple of hundred cover CDs, floppies and DVDs from computer magazines from the 90's so should be able to find compatible programmes (browsers, media players etc) for each OS that I choose
So I'm in for a busy time. Does anyone know a site that lists min and max HDD and RAM sizes
