Time and technology has has moved on since then. Future Ku band tight beams will no doubt be tighter than 2D and the higher frequency of Ka allows them to be tighter still. I think you'll be struggling to get Saorsat in Manchester let alone Marseille.
It remains to be seen what it will be like then again they will have to make sure that Jonnys signal at Carnsore is strong enough as well as Mickeys in Fanad head without spill over !! I doubt it.
Also how will Irish ferries keep their Irish signal in Hollyhead??? As Jim would say "tight beams my Ar*e"
