I ordered my Skybox F3 yesterday after a month of deciding and looking around eBay for a good bargain, finally ordered one for £47.95 from a UK seller & impatiently awaiting for it to arrive.

How easy is it to setup CCCAM as I'm thinking about ordering a 1 month free gift when I've had the chance to set the box up and get a good idea of how it all works?

Roland

Less said about gifts, the better (Forum Rules) - but to activate CCCAM you need to unhide the relevant Menu.

When you get the box, navigate to the Network Setting Menu, scroll right to highlight the top entry but instead of pressing Enter, press 6666.

You then have further options.

You will also find, in your travels, Menus for Uploading and Downloading Images and other Files (Like CCCam.cfg).

It is an easy and instinctive box to set-up and use - no nasty Linux stuff to contend with.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll have to google the rest of the info if I have problems so I don't break forum rules then.

Seema a nice little box for the price, but not sure of the tuner's DVB-S2 high SR capability - will it lock on to the BBC Mux on 27.5W? I can't find a spec sheet for the ALI tuner.

My Skybox F3 came today, and I tried pressing 6666 on the top entry of Network settings but nothing happens, also FTA channels say they are scrambled or no signal.

I did a blind scan with Network scan enabled and it came up with most of the channels on 28e apart from the ones that have moved over to 1N.

You don't need Network scan for the Blind Scan. Keep it simple.

Have you rebooted and tried again with the 6666?

Have you actually set up an Ethernet or WiFi connection? (I did mine before attempting to get into Cccam etc.). Test the connection by scrolling down to "Weather" ...........

It took me two full days to learn how to drive the box and avoid "finger trouble" - Be patient and experiment: eg Maybe my Instruction should be treated as approximate! That said, another Member here followed the same advice and succeeded.

And there is already a fair bit of info on the Interweb thingy if you want a second opinion!

The Network Connection is active as I've got the Weather App Setup and working.
Will give it another go.

Ok.

I'll go check again on mine and try to give you an unambiguous key press sequence.

Right.

Bring up Network Local Setting page >> Do NOT Press ok ie No Red highlight on the right hand column >> Press 6666

You now have Setups for CCam, AvatarCam, MGCamd, RS232

I suspect my earlier advice caused you to Press ok first, thus bringing up the Red highlight!

Yes and know, but the part that is not working can't be discussed on here :)

I also found out what I'd done wrong with the Channel list, I didn't realize that I had to input my lat & long for fixed sat reception D'oh.

Does the Cccam Settings wipe after doing a full channel Scan?

No.

Common misunderstanding, this: The features are independent of each other.

But if you alter (for example) a file like errm, CCcam.cfg for any reason, you need to go into CCcam manager, press Green then Reboot.

Ok thanks. I managed to get into the CCcam settings, setup CCcam but after that nothing, even though I've hit this little stumbling block I still like the receiver, it's a great little box for the price.

How do you set up multiple Favorites Lists. I've managed to setup one list for Children's Channels but I can't see a way to setup anymore & the Manual doesn't help?

My word, this one had me fooled for a bit too - but, of course, it is very easy indeed.

In "Favourites Edit", just look at the second line from the bottom (It goes Red/Group > Green/Option > Heart/FAV etc)

So .... now Press FAV on the Remote and select any one of 32 (Yes, Thirty Two!) Favourites Lists.

Again, pretty obvious when you know how.

The only downside is I can't find a way of Editing eg "Fav group 27" to say "FTA Sport"
